Magic Christmas Cookies to make you feel great: Christmas Cookie Recipe 1 cup of water 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup of sugar 1 tsp salt 1 cup of brown sugar lemon juice 4 large eggs 1 cup nuts 2 cups of dried fruit 1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK, try another cup. Just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the frigging fruit off floor... Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two! cups of salt, or something. Who giveshz a sheet. Check the Jose Cuervo. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher. CHERRY MISTMAS

Top O' the morning to you, on this fine St. Patrick's Day.And I wouldn't be an Irish Lass if I didn't share my Irish Bread recipe with you. It's "absolutely" delicious and easy to make. Irish Soda Bread dry ingredients 3 cups Flour 2/3 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 tablespoon baking powder Wet ingredients2 beaten eggs 1 and 3/4 cup buttermilk 2 tablespoon melted butter Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients in separate bowls. Slowly add wet to dry and stir. Add approximately 1 cup raisens and put in greased and floured loaf pan. (Two smaller loaf pans are fine too.) Place in 350 degree oven and bake for approximately 50 minutes. Check for doneness. Especially delicious toasted with a little butter. Enjoy.

This isn't a holiday recipe but St. Patrick's Day is the traditional day to put in your spring peas but I didn't get it done! For one thing, it was right nippy here and the peas probably have jumped right back into the sack! Another, the bed isn't ready--we had about 2-3 inches of rain earlier in the week!

I made the Irish Soda Bread the other day and it is delicious. I did want to ask though, is the batter meant to be quite wet or should it be more like bread dough? When I made it, it was quite wet and sticky which seemed unusual for bread so I didn't use all of the buttermilk in the recipe. It worked out alright in the end though.

Yes, Chocky, the batter is more like heavy cake batter than bread dough. If it seems too wet, sometimes I throw in a little more flour. Glad you enjoyed it. Put some in the toaster with butter, yummy.
