I went opening night to see the movie version of Rent and was not disappointed. I loved that they used most of the original cast!
Ah, sigh, 'twas lovely. Especially nice to see Adam Pascal as Roger--gorgeous voice.
Gotta love the Tango Maureen.
Recommended! I can't wait for it to come out on video. They cut a couple songs that were on the CD from the movie, so I'm pretty sure they filmed the scenes, then cut them later.

Interesting side note--the screenplay was adapted by Stephen Chbosky, who wrote Perks of Being a Wallflower. I had just started reading that the night before Rent opened, so it was a nice surprise. Yay to coincidence!
