All you writers out there I need some guidance. Someone has asked me to write a "treatment" to pitch a reality show concept he has. Does anyone know of any resources to explain exactly what a "treatment" is, and how to write it?

As best as I remember, from a friend who had to write one once, you basically take an outline and flesh it out into "full sentence" format. But it's meant to be fairly terse, as the people who read these things are reputed to have the attention span of a fruit fly.  I wonder if there are any guidelines on websites, like the Writers Guild? Good luck! |
