Hey, I think these brain-teaser mysteries are pretty fun. Thought you might enjoy solving one, so here it is. And once this one is solved, maybe somebody else knows of one to post. But don't post it until this one has been solved. Here's how it works: I'll give you a mystery and then you may ask questions... as many as you like, but I can only answer "yes" and "no." So the questions have to be worded to get one of those answers. When you think you've got it figured out, go ahead and post your solution and I'll let you know if you're right or not. Oh, and if you've heard this mystery before and know the answer, don't give it away. It's way more fun for people to ask questions and have to figure it out. Okay, put on your thinking caps, pretend you're Dunbar and Bettencourt and start firing questions at me! Here's your first mystery....
A man was on his way home. When he arrived home, he came face to face with a man in a mask. Who is the man with the mask at home?

Hahahaha! If it were, I'd be the "man going home." The answer is no! Keep trying.

No.
Ok, I'm only supposed to say "yes" or "no", but I will tell you that you're on the right track in terms of trying to figure out what the masked man's occupation was. But burgler is all wrong! Try again.

Try again. the man in the mask is the catcher,,,, the whole question is: a man leaves home,, takes two left turns ,, ,arrives home and is met by two men wearing masks,, who are the men? the runner rounded the bases,, and was greeted by the catcher and the umpire that riddle was in "the runner" my absolute favorite r/e flick ;D

Okay...new mystery to solve... here it is:
(Ooh, and it's a homicide investigation, so you really get to pretend to be Karen and you can work with Jim on this one!!!)
The scene is a room, locked from the inside. A man is hanging in a noose, tied from rafters overhead. There is no furniture in the room. How did he get up into the noose to kill himself?
(oops, guess it's a suicide investigation?)
Okay... ask away... I'll answer yes and no only.
And no telling this time Dogma! If anyone knows it, let the others play. Thanks.

[The scene is a room, locked from the inside. A man is hanging in a noose, tied from rafters overhead. There is no furniture in the room. How did he get up into the noose to kill himself?] is there the possibility of something other than furniture being in the room?

Could that something else in the room have been a block of ice?

If I have in fact solved the case (The man committed suicide by standing on a block of ice and now it is all melted and looks like a homicide), then I am doing a Jimmyism right now. Both hands extended with palms facing skyward. (We have not discussed this little gesture seen a few times in BJ. When Karen asks if "Sonny's in"; also in Seoul man when Karen says "so he used a different gun, so you're saying it's a different perp?" and in "in your face" when they are discussing a former case similar to the Tuxhorns and Marty says "they got the idea from the internet" or some such thing. Jim does that little gesture meaning "That's what I'm saying". If in fact my asnswer is wrong, then I am hanging my head with Karen saying "Don't beat yourself up over it".........and I'm not.............., Did I say I was?
