along the lines of peeing standing up: Why Men Pee Standing Up God was just about done creating humans, but he had two parts left over and couldn't quite decide how to split them between Adam and Eve. He thought he might just as well ask them. He told them one of the things He had left was a thing that would allow the owner to pee while standing up. "It's a very handy thing," God told them, "and I was wondering if either one of you had a preference for it." Well, Adam jumped up and down and begged, "Oh, please give that to me! I'd love to be able to do that! It seems like just the sort of thing a man should have. Please! Pleeease! Give it to me!" On and on he went like an excited little boy. Eve just smiled and told God that if Adam really wanted it so badly, he could have it, so God gave Adam the thing that allowed him to pee standing up. Adam was so excited he just started whizzing all over the place - first on the side of a rock, then he wrote his name in the sand, and then he tried to see if he could hit a stump ten feet away - laughing with delight all the while. God and Eve watched him with amusement and then God said to Eve, "Well, I guess you're kind of stuck with the last thing I have left." "What's it called?" asked Eve. "Brains," said God.

Remember? Way back when about who might or might not wax? I was following-up on the rumor: Hank may have had a "pedicure."
Well...he did and does. He has them at "Fifi the Poodle's Dog Salon and Beerhaus. Dunbar found this to be perfect. Hank gets his pedicure from Fifi; and Dunbar, well, "beerhaus."
Perfect!
Later, Carl

I have a theory about why Jim may have left Hank behind in the car so often. The first time he did it was in the Pilot, when they went to talk to Paula the Roomie. Jim had taken Hank to crime scenes before and after that. But most of the time (except when he went to the Crider's), when he went to talk to witnesses in their own apartments, he left Hank behind. I'm guessing it's not because he wants to appear less blind, or for contaminating crime scenes (as Hank does go to several crime scenes), but because Jim doesn't want to offend anyone on their own turf. Hank is a big dog, and my mom would never allow any dog in her house, not even before the new carpet. So I'm guessing Jim is thinking, if he wants information, he better not start off the discussion with: "Do you mind if my dog comes in?"
I think the only time Hank came in to interview a witness was during the Crider's, and that's because Hank had to be a bonding agent with little Jake and set up the scene for "We had a dog--he ran away."
I just noticed the other day that Flint has a bit of gray in his beard. Perhaps Jim runs Hank a little ragged? Hank would only be two or three, a mere puppy, and prematurely gray.

That certainly makes sense GB. My parents don't like dogs in the house much either. And I agree that Hank was there to help Jim bond with Jake. Kids naturally love animals and it would have take the intimidation factor away from Jake if he had Hank to focus on. It must be pretty scary to have a bunch of police come in your house and start asking all kinds of questions. The fact that Hank was a real bonding factor b/t Jim and Jake is reinforced later in the episode when you see the three of them playing together in the backyard.
