Did you ever hear yourself say a bit of dialogue and you know it is from B/J but you can't place where? I did that today and then had to spend the next hour in my head, trying to remember where Jim said it. The dialogue was "What are you looking for?"
I finally remembered it followed Terry telling him, "I'm not trying to be friends again or anything." In the locker room scene on the first day. And Jim says "What are you looking for then?" I always have a bit of a smile when I find myself using some of that dialogue. Absolutely.

I can't think of a time when I've forgotten where it was although I know I've had that happen. I can't hear certain phrases though, without being reminded of BJ.
"Absolutely" "It's not rocket science" "All--day--long" "It's been such a long day."
And I could go on and on.

On Gilmore Girls last night, Lorelai used the phrase "My bad". It gave me excited tingles to hear it again!
Do we know for sure whether BJ originated this phrase? Or was it already in common use?

It's been in common use as long as I can recall--or it was where I grew up. My trend-setting boyfriend Ted used that phrase a lot so that was when I first noticed it. I was fourteen at the time. Maybe HE invented it!

I remember hearing it once on NCIS,when Agent Cassidy fell on McGee. At first I wasn't sure I heard it right and then I almost burst out laughing. Every time I hear it I think of Russo! ;D
