We were driving home from the grocery store today and the boys and I had a discussion about what our patronus's would be. My 3 year-old says his would be Elmo. I have never given it any thought. What do you Pott-Heads think your patronus would be?

Isn't Elmo the muppet who was arrested at/near the Walk of Fame.? Now, my question: What is a "patronus? You knew I'd ask.
Later, Carl

My patronus...
You know, I wanted to respond to this a long time ago, but I really didn't know what my patronus would be. Still don't, but what a truly fascinating question.
I think I would be a Starling.

I still really don't know what my patronus would be. That's a toughie. I asked my husband the other day and he got very serious as he thought about it and then told me that my patronus would be the Tooth Fairy. When pressed, he couldn't come up with a decent rationale for such a statement, it just seemed to fit. He reluctantly agreed that one's patronus would not likely be a Tooth Fairy, so he's now just as stumped as I am.
Or maybe it's revenge. I told him his patronus would be a squirrel. Perfect. He didn't seem to think I chose a very macho animal for him.

well, i forgot about this topic,, so i reviewed all the past posts,, after alot of thought,, my patronus would be lassie,,, i have good reason: my first dog was a collie ( i was two ) and ginger was the most protective dog,, (when the yard gate was open,, she barked,), she was loyal,, ( when my dad was testing the pond to see if it was frozen for us to slide on,, she followed him,, and fell thru the ice with him ), when she got older, she had a favorite chair in the game room,, it was a stuffed chair,, and dad cut the legs off so she could get on it easier, my dad always said when he came back in the next life,, it would be as one of my pets,, ( i happened to have a wonderful dream of him being reunited w/ my family last nite ) so i think it is very fitting to have lassie as my patronus,,

I haven't responded to this question before, because I actually had to think about it. Considering my affinity for cats, I thought my patronus would be from the feline family. I just couldn't figure out which one. But I think I'll go with the lynx.
