The Bestest Courthouse Scene
Very few and far between, in my opinion -- but here's my vote for the "bestest":
Spencer Tracy as "Henry Drummond" (in the real Scopes trial, Clarence Darrow) cross-examining Frederic March as "Matthew Harrison Brady" (William Jennings Bryan in the actual trial) in Inherit the Wind.

The Bestest Car Chase - It's a Mad Mad Mad WorldSorry to disagree, but my vote for The Bestest Car Chase goes to the car chase in Bullitt (with Steve McQueen) -- the prototype for all car chases which followed.

Call it "The Best of the Best" and I'm right there, playing along. But Bestest? As in "It was the bestest of times, it was the worstest of times . . . ?" As Dorothy Parker so famously said, "Tonstant Weader fwowed up." Oh, amd mlm88, I'm with you on the Bullitt car chase -- definitely the template for all others. Recently, I'd say the one in Ronin comes close.

The Bestest Internal Monologue
Will Sherman: Once upon a time there lived a young man who aimed to please. He believed what was preached to him, did what he was told, and slaved day and night to win approval. But when he dared to think for himself, he was outcast, and it was a long and painful fall. Then one day, he had an earth-shattering revelation - a truth that would define his life - genius is never appreciated. (From Delivered)
The Bestest Motivational Speech
Mikey Walsh: Don't you realize? The next time you see sky, it'll be over another town. The next time you take a test, it'll be in some other school. Our parents, they want the best of stuff for us. But right now, they got to do what's right for them. Because it's their time. Their time! Up there! Down here, it's our time. It's our time down here. That's all over the second we ride up Troy's bucket. (From The Goonies)
