Thanks for the karma, bebe! One limerick a day? Not in this lifetime. When in doubt, “Up on the Roof.” Oh Jeez, I’ve gone all sober again. (If you take out the mid-sentence caps, you look like a bleedin’ poet. I’m thinking sonnets again, rducasey, I’m thinking sonnets.*) Once his partner, his back-up, his friend . . . Jimmy wonders how it will all end. How did they come to this bitterness? Gone the bliss of the past. This rift no one can mend.
It all began on a bright street split by gunfire, where one cop would meet destiny’s tragic hand, the death of faith, and a fate cold and relentless as sleet.
So he waits, sadly grasping a sliver of hope that Terry will deliver the truth. But he’s on to the lies. Trust is gone. It’s a story as old as the river.*FYI, I am seriously contemplating moving this thread into our new Blind Justice Games. Limericks (at least to me) seem more of an addictive game than fanfic, especially since we keep riffing off actual lines and scenes. And maybe a new sonnet thread. Thoughts, anyone? They must have offered you that Poet Laureate position Maggie. You are too much. Sonnets, I 'd give it a try, but .....Limericks are much more fun. (but we have gotten a little serious lately with them, haven't we? But I love them with angst.) I must try to lighten up again. Karma for this one though Maggie, Wow Brilliant.

I have been so impressed by all the talent on this board that I have been tempted to give it another shot-- The perp in the jail cell was bored. He'd been locked up and then been ignored. But who did he see? Hey, that blind dude from TV! Right here on the very same floor! Oh Hoosier, you are becoming a pro. but it's Blond dude, remember, blond dude. And I would love to add a screencap. I have a limerick " banging around in my head" but I can't finish it,,,,so I will be happy to just add a pic for you. [/quote] Thanks for the screencap. I agonized over the "blond" vs "blind" dude and went for the latter. I will definitely remember to go with my gut instinct the next time!

They must have offered you that Poet Laureate position, Maggie. You are too much. Sonnets, I 'd give it a try, but we could be alone in this.....Limericks are much more fun (but we have gotten a little serious lately with them, haven't we? ). I must try to lighten up again. I think we got serious because the limerick rhymes are so natural (once they get into your system, that is), and because you can say more than in a brief haiku. So here we are in the Blind Justice games thread, sober outlook notwithstanding. I'll play sonnets with you any time, rducasey. In the meantime, you want light? Light I got. This one's for you and kathy. Of all the Eighth's squad's brave young tecs We go for the one with pecs. But just once would it hurt To take off that shirt? You've made us emotional wrecks!

Marty's comments to Jim are daunting. His sarcasm, really quite haunting. But for once I wish Jim would haul off and hit him, And thus put an end to his taunting.

So thanks for giving me the opportunity. Kathy, you are just clicking along! Karma for daunting, taunting and haunting -- a rhyme scheme you can bet I wish I'd thought of!

The longneck felt good in his hand After a first day of doubts and "you can !?!" He longed to kick back To regroup and relax But Christie, she had other plans.

Kathy, loved the limerick, loved the picture - thank you for that beautiful recounting of your tour through Gettysburg - having visited several times, I can honestly say there is something almost holy about standing anywhere on that ground. I owe you a karma, Mary a karma for her "cop gets his ass kicked by blind guy" limerick and Maggie for....well, Maggie for all of them...... I thought I might try to write a limerick about our special evening too - sigh - it didn't work, although I did come up with this - perhaps this is a modified limerick or just a plain poem! We sat before that stage, breathless, to see The young tenor who would guest with our great Symphony. The orchestra played and he lifted his voice, We each fell in love (like there was much of a choice) At the end of our night, with his song in full flight, it was suddenly all Greek to me!That is sooooo awesome, LL!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!! OOPA, let's throw a plate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know whether to post this under Limericks or " you might be obsessed with Blind Justice" since it's a double. You might be obsessed with Blind Justice if you search the web to find these cups, the famous NY blue coffee cup seen all over the streets on NY, and you order them in ceramic. nycup.com/Jim orders his coffee, steamy and hot Every day from the very same spot. He pays with a buck- But the guy's out of luck Since a really great tipper he's not.

[Dear God, Mary, I can send you reams of them for free....... Gee thanks Barb, but now I can give you a ceramic one when I see you, since the guy messed my order up and then he " overcompensated" by doubling my order. I do love drinking my coffee out of it.....sigh....just like Jimmy Dunbar.

Can I borrow your pic, ml? Too good to let it go. Christie was dressed to the nines- As she sipped on a myriad of wines. When Clay's motives were clear Jim tipped over his beer To cool down those romantic signs.
