I know I tend to blatantly steal games from other boards, but this one looked like a lot of fun. It's a variation on the survival game, but it's in two parts and I think it might be more fun.
What we end up doing is narrowing it down to our favorite Blind Justice moment. Not character. Not episode. Moment. There could be several top moments in a single episode.
First of all, we'll just come up with a list of some of our favorite Blind Justice moments. Each moment should be described as succinctly as possible. Once we have about forty moments (we'll see how we do at coming up with them. It could be more. Could be less. We could save some for a future game.) we'll start the voting. As in the survival game, they will each begin with 15 points and we will do the whole ++/-- thing from there to add and subtract points. We'll stick to three moments to vote on in each turn. I don't want to limit the number of times you can play per day, but I think we'll stipulate that you can not post twice in a row in the game thread, so someone else must play before you are able to play again. When you vote, you may explain your reason, as we've done in previous games, or you can simply cast your vote and make the appropriate adjustments to the numbers on the list without any explanation.
I'm open to suggestions about what we can do with the top moments that get voted off. We cold just quietly retire them or we can rewrite them to make them better or...let us know if you think of something fun to do with them, but we won't have to worry about that for a while.
I'll start the list with five of my favorite Blind Justice moments. Just add on from there--and only do five or less at a time. Once our list is closed, we'll start part two of the game.
1) Fisk compares Jim and Marty to "pissed off stepsisters." 2) Hank shakes water in Jim's face. 3) Jim's interview with Jake Crider. 4) Jim whacks Mark Watt with the cane. 5) Jim plays chess.

Yay! A brand new game for a brand new year (almost). This looks like great fun, and I can already see that it's going to be a little tougher than it looks -- you already snagged one of my faves, Jim whacking Mark Watt with the cane. But, gosh, I think I can come up with five more . . . . 1. Jim pulling himself together to aim at Randy Lyman. 2. Jim lying in Christie's arms at the end of "Up on the Roof." 3. Jim walking away from Karen at the end of The Pilot, smiling. 4. Jim first unfolding the handkerchief and finding the bullet holes. 5. The first time Jim walks solo from his desk to Fisk's office. Well, look at that -- they're all from The Pilot or "Up on the Roof." ;D MODIFIED TO ADD: Oops! Bebe and I posted at about the same time and my number three is a lot like her number two. How specific do we have to be about what constitutes a moment? There are a number from that scene.

When two moments are similar or repeated, they will just be combined on the master list. Speaking of the master list...let's just add our moments to that and copy it in each post to keep duplicates to a minimum. That way, when two are similar, the second one on the list will either be removed or somehow combined with the first.
Here's the master list so far:
1) Fisk compares Jim and Marty to "pissed off stepsisters." 2) Hank shakes water in Jim's face. 3) Jim's interview with Jake Crider. 4) Jim whacks Mark Watt with the cane. 5) Jim plays chess. 6) Jim sits on the kitchen counter - "you have to do this now...." 7) Jim and Karen's touching moment at the end of the Pilot 8) Jim feeling his way out of the Hoboken yard 9) Jim feeling around the window sill at Sam Berglass' apartment 10) Jim giving up the gun 11) Jim pulling himself together to aim at Randy Lyman. 12) Jim lying in Christie's arms at the end of "Up on the Roof." 13) Jim walking away from Karen at the end of The Pilot, smiling. 14) Jim first unfolding the handkerchief and finding the bullet holes. 15) The first time Jim walks solo from his desk to Fisk's office.
I don't know what to do about the similar end-of-pilot moments because they could be considered separate events. Jim and Karen have a touching moment together as they start to connect and then Jim leaves, smiling in reaction to that moment. I think I'll leave them both because one is Jim with Karen and one is Jim alone feeling triumphant. If either of you wishes to delete or combine your moment with the other one, feel free to do so.

Oops. I think you said you couldn't post twice in a row. Sorry! Should have modified instead.
Had to leave for a few before I was done.

Oops. I think you said you couldn't post twice in a row. Sorry! Should have modified instead. Had to leave for a few before I was done. Oh that's fine! You weren't taking more than your one rightful turn at five moments. I guess I should have clarified the double post rule for this game. That mainly applies to when we're playing the elimination part. I don't want to limit how many times per day people can play because some people enjoy playing the games more than others, but I didn't want one person taking control of the voting and just playing repeatedly. That would seriously skew the results. But BJO, you just added to an incomplete list. No harm done. Modifying would probably be a better way of adding, but you're fine. I would love to stick in some more favorite moments, but we're already halfway there and I want everyone to be able to have a chance to list a few. Once we have a good enough list, we might go through and spruce it up a little and maybe agree to knock off any that seem repetitive, then we'll play.

Well, here's the thing -- when I first wrote "Jim lying in Christie's arms at the end of "UotR," I was thinking of that famous line of dialogue, not the moments leading up to it. So I've eliminated my original listing and re-numbered, and added one that is tied to a line of dialogue so we know the specific moment. Sound good?

Great ones, rducasey! We were posting at the same time, so I modified your list to reflect the changes I'd just made -- hope you don't mind. Are we done here? For now . . .

Since Mags and Bebe updated the list at the same time, I've made a new master list:
1) Fisk compares Jim and Marty to "pissed off stepsisters." 2) Hank shakes water in Jim's face. 3) Jim's interview with Jake Crider. 4) Jim whacks Mark Watt with the cane. 5) Jim plays chess. 6) Jim sits on the kitchen counter - "You have to do this now...." 7) Jim and Karen's touching moment at the end of the Pilot. 8) Jim feels his way out of the Hoboken yard. 9) Jim feels around the window sill at Sam Berglass' apartment. 10) Jim gives up the gun. 11) Jim pulls himself together to aim at Randy Lyman. 12) Jim walks away from Karen at the end of The Pilot, smiling. 13) Jim unfolds Terry's handkerchief and finds bullet holes. 14) Jim walks solo from his desk to Fisk's office for the first time. 15) Jim says he'd rather lose his sight than his courage. 16) Jim admits to Galloway that he can’t protect Karen. 17) The look on Jim's face as he turns away from Terry in the hospital. 18) The speedbag scene. 19) Jim admits to pete that he thought about blowing his brains out every day. 20) The "Tell me that gun on your hip is plastic and we got no beef" confrontation. 21) Karen offers her arm to Jim for the first time. 22) Jim storms into the apartment after Clay's party. 23) Jim's angst over "losing" Hank (pacing the apartment) 24) Jim's plea to return the gun to him 25) Jim flips out on Johnny and Marty has to hold him back (sorry, guys, that was hot!) 26) The locker room scene ("I'm here to stay..." - "yea, good luck with that...") 27) Jim confronts Terry with the truth as to who shot him (Terry, that is) 28) "Bin Laden"
Modified to add:
I knew Jim would be featured prominently on this list, but it appears that hardly any of the other characters did anything memorable. For that reason, I have indulged myself by adding #28.
