And Kathy, I agree, that "i'm blind" thing always bothers me too. This is the one that always makes me cringe. Too much emphasis on the writer's parts to show Jim's use of other senses. "Does Nick always smell like that?" eeeeehhhhhhh.....barfy.

It is very, very sweet in Rub a Tub Tub when Jim gives Christie flowers and I absolutely love it - the whole scene appeals to my Inner Romantic. But when Christie tells Jim "You're worth it" I'm always thrown out of the story. It's very cute but I'm instantly reminded of Andie MacDowell in the L'Oreal commercials, yuck!! She already said that Jim was "Worth the wait" WHY did she have to repeat it, using that cheesy line from the commercials, why? - Chris

I'm with you Kath, this one is off for me too. I mean how stupid would he have looked if she were hesitating 'cause she'd noticed her cell phone vibrating and dived into her purse to get it, or because she looked at Karen and thought "Hey do I know you from that nightclub on ..." Exactly!

How about when Marty called Karen Jim's 'bottom bitch'? We all know that Marty is Mister Sensitive but this was really out of line. He could have gotten his point across without being what we call 'crude, rude and socially unacceptable'.
Another line which isn't exactly barfy but insensitive to the extreme is when both Fisk and Christie tell Jim that Hank will 'turn up'. Fisk I can understand but Christie? She better than anyone should know how important Hank is to Jim. It wasn't as if Hank had wandered off, he had last been seen in the company of drug dealers who, as far as anyone knew, had just killed Bud Kessel. How ironic that it was Marty and not his wife who offered to go out with Jim to look for Hank.
