Sucre and Michael did have a plan to make off with the money and cut the others out (especially T-Bag). Too bad they forgot T-Bag, despicable as he is, is very smart when it comes to looking out for T-Bag. Much smarter than he looks, is our good friend T-Bag. Speaking of T-Bag, Michael's apology for springing him from prison seems too little, too late, especially since T-Bag foiled the plan to leave him at the house for the cops. I only hope T-Bag's former lady friend (or her local cops) figured out she was at risk, once T-Bag escaped, and only the cops will be there when he shows up at her house. Unfortunately, T-Bag is also smart enough to figure this out, so I'm sure he'll try something sneaky. Yes, I fear for the spitting lady. If even Linc can outsmart the people, T-Bag has to have a plan. But the sight of him driving along with all that money in that old truck with his creepy tongue sticking out a bit in a way my husband can immitate a little too well...it's a weird mixture of funny and creepy that had me laughing and cringing at once. What an amazing actor, huh? I think he would have been killed off ages ago if people didn't love to cringe over him so much. Since anyone caught by Mahone is dead meat, I suspect T-Bag will be caught by the usual authorities (or Bellick???) and will be put back in prison where he will be safe--but amusing. In hindsight, I suppose we could have figured that out from his last comment to Tweener -- something along the lines of "I don't want you dead, but they do." I didn't know if "they" referred to people in the conspiracy or to the voices in his head. Now I have some clarification. And it looks like Kellerman is still on board with the conspiracy after all. I thought he'd become expendable and therefore vulnerable, but he definitely put "Don Yun" in his place. I'm not sure how Kellerman regained his position in the conspiracy, but it appears he has. And he's still as much of a bastard as we thought. "They all die" sounds very ominous. I wonder if the creators of the show would really go there. I'm glad Kellerman didn't go soft and now I know he would have killed Sara himself if given the chance. I hope she is able to rendevouz with Michael. Maybe during sweeps... Since she's running for her life now, she could easily join Michael and his plan to get to Panama. I don't think that Maricruz was a trap, but she's surely being watched so he needs to be careful. I loved all the Michael/Sucre interaction. Wonderful. I was asked to help mod a "Prison Break" board which is very, very active. And the link is...??

Here is the TWoP recaplet of Monday's episode:
Those of you who were all, "You know what this show needs? Six separate plotlines that are spiraling out into several separate directions" -- your dreams have been answered! Tonight's episode featured:
1. The plotline where Dr. Sara figured out that her dad's right-hand man Bruce was part of the One World Conspiracy out to get her, then figured out the coded messages Michael had been sending via origami crane. It is amazing how fighting off your would-be killer with a bottle of oven cleaner (or bug spray, or Pam) can sharpen those analytic skills.
2. The plotline where the Feds set a trap for Linc by having L.J. hang out near a downtown bus depot, under oodles of surveillance, in an effort to draw Linc out of hiding. But Linc fools them! He pays a homeless guy $50 to beat the tar out of L.J., then absconds with his son when they're in the hospital. Nothing says "love" like hiring strangers to punch your kid.
3. The plotline where Bellick and Geary lurch back onto the screen, making us all grateful that Smell-O-Vision has not yet been invented, because then we would all be gagging on the sour fumes of Old Milwaukee and desperation. And sweat. Lots of sweat. Anyway, the guys make it down to Tooele a day late. They are not a dollar short, because Bellick swipes a Benjamin from Jeannette.
4. The plotline where it's revealed that Sucre's hold-up and subsequent escape with what he thinks is the loot…is all a clever ploy he and Michael colluded on.
5. The plotline where it's revealed that you still have to get up pretty godddamn early to pull one over on T-Bag because he managed to take off with all the money and a new set of wheels.
6. And the plotline where my screen nearly explodes in a hail of glittering, evil shards after Kellerman and Mahone share a scene together. So much calculating malice in one car -- how can it possibly be contained? Answer: it darn near can't. But we find out the One World Conspiracy has something on Mahone, so he'll be killing every member of Team Escarpara. Or at least those who are not locked into five-year contracts.
Regrettably, there was no time to find out how Haywire's raft-building was going, which was a pity, because Michael and Sucre could have used some aquatic assistance at assorted points in the evening. Perhaps next time…

Thanks, shmeep, for posting the "recaplet" -- I love those!
I missed Haywire, too. But I did like the Michael-Sucre interaction -- too bad they're going their separate ways for now, or so it seems. I commented earlier that Michael can be cold and calculating. I was glad to see he wasn't in this instance, when he could easily have abandoned Sucre -- and Sucre was urging him to do so. Of course, I really didn't expect him to abandon Sucre -- he is the hero, after all, and I just can't see the writers of a TV show letting the hero do something like that.
The preview for next week's episode ends with Michael calling Mahone. What's up with that?

Here's the most recent recaplet at TWoP:
Did my eyes deceive me? Did we get two -- possibly even three -- female characters in this episode who can think on their feet?
The first character never even appears on-screen: she's T-Bag's former ladylove, and it turns out that the minute Susan found out her ex escaped, she moved. T-Bag finds this out the hard way: he goes to her house and discovers it nearly empty. As he sulks around the kitchen, his dreams of courting Susan with sunflowers and stab wounds in pieces on the floor, Bellick catches up with him. T-Bag gets off the best line of the night – it includes the phrase “machinations of love” – but Bellick ultimately gets the last laugh.
The second woman to think fast on her feet: Mahone's ex-wife Pam, who calls Michael out on his bluff that he's merely doing a background check on our favorite crazy conspiracy stooge. Michael is doing the background check because Mahone's messed with his escape plans one too many times, and Michael wants to mess with Mahone's head. He soon discovers this is ridiculously easy to do. All it requires is a phone call to Mahone, wherein Michael deduces what nobody in the whole Federal Bureau of Investigation has figured out thus far. That sends Mahone off to dig Oscar Shales's bones out of the birdbath.
And garnering an honorable mention for her mad thinking skillz is Dr. Sara, who manages to figure out what the missing origami bird was going to say. She's on her way to meet up with the boys in New Mexico. Unfortunately, so are the feds.
The final female character who figures big in this episode is Kacee. Thanks to C-Note and a few of his good friends from back in the day, she manages to elude Lang and reunite with her daughter and her husband. Y'all, this storyline was so tense, I ended up watching it through my fingers.
In other plotline news: L.J. and Linc have many road-trip adventures, but ultimately end up re-captured. Is it wrong to look forward to Michael's reaction when he finds out?

This will come off like a rant, and I guess it is, but it's a PB rant so I'll put it here. What is with Michael's voice? He always talks in this annoying half whisper, half slow voice. I could understand it when they were in prison. Don't want anyone to overhear their plans. I can even abide it now that they are out--it's a stretch, but talking quietly might always be useful when you are on the run. But last week, when he was interviewing Mahone's ex-wife, was the last straw for me. He used the voice then even! It's for no reason that I can see. And I saw Wentworth on Ghost Whisperer once and his voice was "normal" in tone and volume, so I don't think it's the actor. All I can think is it's supposed to be sultry or sexy. Well, I for one don't find it that! Thanks for allowing me ranting space.

I hadn't considered it before, but yes, Michael does do that slow quiet creepy thing while he's talking. It doesn't really irk me as it does you, but it doesn't always seem called for either. It kind of amuses me--but then I'm far too easily amused. I'm surprised there weren't any comments about the show this week! I thought it was gripping. Poor T-Bag! And I just knew Bellick was out of luck when the other guy grabbed the loot and ran. And now he won't even get the $100,000 for T-Bag because he did that part anonymously. Stupid stupid man. I really hope Michael is able to get that money back, but I don't see how that can happen. Very interesting about The Company and Linc's dad and that guy with the gun who is about to kill them all. After what happened to Veronica, anything is possible at this point, but I'm sure they'll get out of it somehow. I mean, they were recaptured last week and are already on the run again so stranger things have happened.

So Linc kills his would-be killer, Michael meets up with some shady cons who are supposed to provide an escape plane in exchange for some nitroglyceron Michael doesn't have (but pretends to have), Sucre and Mahone both figure out that Bolshoi Booze, when read upside-down, is a series of numbers that point to a certain location in the middle of nowhere but that can be found using GPS, and Don Yun is even more evil. Yeah! Oh, and Sara gets tortured by Kellerman and is on the verge of being drowned--but Kellerman looks like he feels just terrible about it. He's a gentle torturer, the big teddy bear! And how could I forget T-Bag and how he used his trick detachable hand to escape (always knew that useless appendage would come in handy), tracked down his money, gutted Geary, and made the cops suspect Bellick did it. Love it!
Great episode. I like Sara more than ever. How cool is she? And I'm glad LJ is supposedly safe with that Jane woman--but is LJ ever completely safe? Are the people around him safe? Did he tell Jane about Nick and Veronica? This show continues to entertain.

Sucre and Mahone both figure out that Bolshoi Booze, when read upside-down, is a series of numbers that point to a certain location in the middle of nowhere but that can be found using GPS, Did Sucre figure it out or did Michael tell him about it? I thought that from something Sucre said, Michael had told him. ITA. I can't wait for next week. And I even felt just a smidge bad for Mahone when he called his wife. I guess he's figuring he might not make it out of this one alive.

Did Sucre figure it out or did Michael tell him about it? I thought that from something Sucre said, Michael had told him. Okay, I may have taken a liberty there. Sucre did figure out how to use the GPS, so that's something, right? I LOVED when Michael knocked over the old man and how it brought back to him all that he has done since the beginning for Linc and how many people have been hurt or killed in the process. Great moment.

Here is the "recaplet" of this episode from TWoP: I actually thought it was a little out of character for Kellerman to have second thoughts about killing Sara. This is a guy who blew away his long-time friend and partner without hesitation.
"Bill Kim," aka "Don Yun," is getting creepier and creepier.
I was so hoping T-Bag was finally going to get caught. I've decided the reason they're keeping him around (other than the excellence of Robert Knepper's performance in the role) is to keep heaping the guilt on Michael.
I could have done without the shot of the hand left behind on the radiator. Yuck! Would it really have detached that easily? And why hasn't T-Bag bled to death yet?
If Bellick and Geary were smart, they would have attached T-Bag to the radiator with his good hand.
The cavalry -- in the person of Sucre -- arrives in the nick of time! Yay! I know Michael told Sucre about "Bolshoi Booze," but what happened to cause him to abandon his pursuit of Maricruz? Short-term memory loss must be setting in.
So Bellick may now know what it's like to be wrongly suspected and (can we hope?) accused and convicted.
The conspiracy is back! We know the late Governor found out about the call to Steadman, two weeks after he was supposedly dead. And the mysterious key Sara found is the key to wherever the evidence is, right?

Okay, did they set-up Lincoln for the murder of the Prez's brother to bring his father out into the open? I did miss some of last season. Was this mentioned? Just how many people are involved in this thing? How high up does it go?? And Lincoln must have "good ears" to hear that one shell casing drop a room away. Shades of Jimmy Dunbar in Seoul Man And what do they have on Mahone? The body was still safely buried in his backyard under the birdbath when last seen--unless he moved it . You never know if Michael might decide to do a little excavating on the side while waiting for that plane.

Okay, did they set-up Lincoln for the murder of the Prez's brother to bring his father out into the open? I did miss some of last season. Was this mentioned? I think it was mentioned last season. When it was mentioned last night, it seemed it was something I'd heard before. Just how many people are involved in this thing? How high up does it go?? Apparently, quite a few people are involved. It goes all the way up to the Prez. And Lincoln must have "good ears" to hear that one shell casing drop a room away. Shades of Jimmy Dunbar in Seoul Man My thought, exactly! And what do they have on Mahone? The body was still safely buried in his backyard under the birdbath when last seen--unless he moved it. I'm pretty sure it's the killing of Shales. As I recall, Kim specifically mentioned that to Mahone in the scene between them last night. We know there was a body, presumably that of Shales, buried under Mahone's bird bath, but not whether it's still there. I thought Mahone dug up the body in order to move it, but we didn't see him actually moving it. What other reason would he have for doing all that digging?

Prison Break was a good one last night.
Although Sarah's escape was certainly unbelievable--getting so much wiggle room underwater while tied to the chair--bet the folks at TWP have lots to say about that! But I'm glad she's OK, she's my favorite character.
I sure hope C-Note saw his wife dump the medicine in the trash can and is able to get it--that's one expensive pill.
Nothing about Haywire, yet again--better have something in the last episode next week.
And, Michael spoke more nomally some of this episode--yay!

And, Michael spoke more nomally some of this episode--yay! And he's a really good crier. It's nice when he actually emotes. This TWoP recaplet of last night's episode is dedicated to you, Inuvik! Oh, Dr. Sara, you evoke such mixed feelings in me. On the one hand, I think it is awesome that you pried up the bathtub stopper with your teeth, managed to wriggle out of your duct-tape bonds and stunned Kellerman with a hot iron to the chest. On the other hand, I cannot believe that you merely stopped at giving Kellerman a third-degree burn. Woman, he tried to kill you! What is this leaving-him-alive business?
And on the THIRD hand…Kellerman! Baby! You'll always be a magnificent bastard in my book. And only in my book, apparently: after Kim catches Kellerman lying about having killed Dr. Sara, he obliterates him from public record. Kellerman is now persona non grata.
Speaking about One World Conspiracies coming back to bite you in the ass…
So Aldo and Michael have a reunion, and it's all very emotional on Michael's end, because we find out that while Michael was horribly abused by a foster father, he has bigger issues with Aldo having killed said abusive foster father. Michael airs his many grievances with Aldo at the top of his lungs, and I don't want to confuse correlation with causation here, but I'm pretty sure that's why Mahone was able to find them so easily. The One World Conspiracy stooge manages to shoot Aldo clean through the liver, and although the boys are in a hurry to catch a plane, they still have time to pull over, bury Aldo, erect an aesthetically-pleasing cairn, conduct a full funeral service, then sit around and talk about their feelings, Then they decide that enough's enough, pack Sucre on the plane to South America, and vow to take down the One World Conspiracy.
However, one should never count Mahone out: after terrorizing turncoat Coyote, Mahone manages to plow his car into the brothers' beater. We end the episode with those two in a stand-off.
P.S. There were two other plots this week. Long story short: Kacee's in custody after ducking into a pharmacy to get a prescription for Dede's unspecified ailment. Why those fools couldn't wait 'til they crossed into Canada is a mystery. Also, Detective Slattery follows the evidence…to the conclusion T-Bag wanted her to come to. This is how Bellick gets arrested for Geary's murder.
