I still didn't get my official MBB dvd's--hopefully tomorrow--but I did get my Bakersfield press kit. The lady on ebay said it was loaded. She wasn't kidding! It came with 20 colour slides, about 8 different b & w photos--one really cute one of Ron, episode synopsis, production notes, biographies, magazine and newspaper reviews etc. I haven't read anything yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Funny think is all the reviews are very favourable with a quote from the 8/23/93 issue of Time calling it a "flaky, funny,sweet-tempered comedy...TV's most honest, uninhibited comic treatment of race since 'Frank's Place.'" And yet with all the positive, we all know what happened! I fear opening your closet door and being buried alive.

I have to admit that my Ron collection is growing and growing.....

I have watched four episodes of Bakersfield so far and is enjoying it immensely. It's not the kind of show where I am laughing out loud but I am very entertained. I love Wade of course but his partner is great too. Poor Paul going from Washington DC to Bakersfield PD, which is so different from anything he has ever experienced before (I just saw on IMDB that Giancarlo Esposito was in fact born in Copenhagen ) It seems like everybody in Bakersfield are crazy, but crazy in a very lovable way, too bad this show was canceled (too) Take care and keep smiling - Chris - now I love Wade too

I've just spent all weekend watching Bakersfield PD, when i first saw Wade roller blading i thought mmmmm don't think this is my thing around ten minutes later i was well and truly hooked I just loved the character of Wade the way he was so matter of fact about his dad shooting him by the end of it i could have taken Wade home and kept him and most definitely have watched several more seasons of the show, shame it was cancelled, though that seems to be the case with good quality shows I also noticed that Patrick Kilpatrick was in an episode He looked that different though i had to wait for the credits to be sure. I preferred his character in Blind Justice, i loved the exchange between him and Jim in the prison it was excellent

I love Wade too, especially hyperventilating into the paper bag. Sure I would love to take him home too.
