Have been closely monitoring the price of ER season 2 DVDs but they're still over $70. Can I justify spending this?

I was finally able to find ER season 2 last week!!!!! ;D ( imagine excited clapping) It cost me about $34.00. $70 is definitely a huge chunk of money, especially if you like to eat!

$34!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please send this price Downunder ;D Still going for $71.98 here. But, and it was most upsetting, we were at the DVD store last week and the copy of season 2 was gone!!! They had every other season but someone had bought OUR season 2.

I wondered later if this price corresponded to Aus. currency or not but $34 is a heck of a lot better than $71! I know how you feel though, copy 2 was there and I didn't pick it up and then it was gone and I had to wait until they got another copy so I snatched it up immediently!!!! Good luck in finding it again!

At today's exchange rate, $1.00 U.S. = $1.32 Australian, so $72.00 Australian is a lot more than $34.00 U.S. Wonder why it's so much more in Australia?

Some DVD's are way overpriced here while others are quite reasonable. There's no real pattern to it! $80 isn't unusual for a TV show season here, though most are around the $60 mark on release. BUT Good news!!! Our whinging has paid off THis Week, ER has gone on sale in various stores, and the current average cost is $33!!! So I'll be getting my copy next week and Spoony bought hers today!

I've never seen ER. You'll have to let me know if Season 2 is worth it --GB I think it is. He's not in some of the eps much and he might not be in every one, but there are a few where he has quite a major part--like the one in Lori's video. Those make it worthwhile for me. I got mine used so it was quite a bit cheaper. Do you have Cash Converters or anything like it? It's a store that will buy things you don't want and then resell them. That's where I got mine.

It is definitely worth owning. I got it on Thursday morning (when it went on sale!) and watched all 22 episodes in 2 days. He's in it a lot more than I thought he was, almost every episode. He has a decent sized role and in one scene talks about cows.
Also, I theorise he was filming 'Sleepers' at the same time.

'Cos you've gotta love a man who talks about cows! I used to watch ER from when it started up until a few years ago. Like many series' I believe the earlier episodes are among the best. Considering the current cost of the boxset (here in Aus at least!) I think it's worth owning, if you're a Ron fan. And i haven't even bought my copy yet hahaha. But I wiiiiiill.

Cows I like, especially since it will remind me of Bakersfield. But what makes you surmise he was filming Sleepers at the same time?? He doesn't have that horrific mustache, does he??? Eep! --GB who is cowering under her desk at this moment

He definitely hasn't got one in the ep Lori used for the video she made. He looks so much better without it anyway.
