I think I am pretty much done with Studio 60. At this point the only things I like about it are Nathan Cordry and Steven Weber (I just realized I kind of miss Wings).
Two people stuck on a roof and neither has cell service? Come on. If they can get service inside a huge old building like that, they should get service on the roof. What are the odds they have the same cell provider?
Also, Aaron Sorkin's "witty repartee'" is a little too much for me to take. I like banter as much as the next mouse, but people just don't talk like that in real life. If you ask me David Kelly does dialog tons better than Sorkin - so do all of the writers on Friday Night Lights for that matter.
The Matt/Harriett relationship is silly and bound for nowhere. There is no sexual tension whatsoever between the characters and the actors have no chemistry at all.
I just don't buy Bradley Whitford as a coke-head who recently failed a drug test. Are the writers leading him toward becoming Jordan's stalker? He needs to leave her alone already. Testimonial letters?
I have not seen a single episode of The West Wing, I just hope that - with all the praise heaped on it over the years - it was much better than this.

Run, run, run to rent the DVDs. It was every bit as good as people said it was (which is why Studio 60 was such a crashing disappointment/bore) and you will be right there with Martin Sheen's politics. Hey, wouldn't we all just about kill for a President who was a Nobel Prize winner in economics? Deficit? What deficit!

The "Caveman" from the Geico commercials are slated to be in a new ABC series.
Of course, they are much more believable than a blind cop series.
Later, Carl

I kind of wished I was American and my President was President Bartlett, he was a wise president with a great staff. The "Caveman" from the Geico commercials are slated to be in a new ABC series. Hey, wouldn't we all just about kill for a President who was a Nobel Prize winner in economics? Deficit? What deficit! Our Prime Minister has both a Bachelor's and a Master's in economics--so that's no guarantee of anything!
