I love the scene in "Getting the Bugs Out" where Kevin eats a Jalapeno and says, with a very weird voice "How d'you like that?" . And to me it seems that RE himself is surprised by his own voice, because it seems like he is going to laugh himself, but quickly turns the smile into a weird facial expression, like the one you would have if you just ate a jalapeno with mustard - I suppose, never tried it I watched this episode again last night after reading this post, and I absolutely agree with you. I don't know how he kept from laughing at that wierd voice that came out. I can't stop!

Well, first when Kevin was lying on the couch, he was barefoot, then he had slippers on when he kicked Jamie. There's more I'm sure... Mr. Kevin Murphy? That's the one. Karma is yours! Aww....thanks Mary and Kathy - I'm all blushy! I think I know Ron's work better than he does! ;D

Okay... I've been trying to resist the temptation to ask this... but... I... can't! I just can't resist the lure of new information!
Must... have... information...
Must... have... my... fix... of... new... information...
I haven't ever seen Men Behaving Badly -- the US version that is, so please pardon my complete and utter ignorance here. (I have seen a few episodes of the Bristish version.)
If Kevin isn't 'Mr Kevin Murphy', what is he?

Krissie <who wishes she could explain the compulsion to find this out> sorry krissie, I was referring to the chapel scene where she says she was writing Mrs. Kevin Murphy on her dayplanner all day and, maybe I interpreted the scene wrong, but I felt he should have said Mrs. and not Mr. if he were referring to her. Wow....talk about your run-on sentence! Whew!

Wow....talk about your run-on sentence! Whew! I thought so too Barb. Just pulled it up again and I still think he meant to say Mrs. What episode is it that he eats the jalapeno pepper? I can't seem to find it again and want to hear that voice that someone mentioned. Oh never miind, I just reread the thread and see that Chris said "getting the bugs out". so I will go check it out Modified to add: Yes, a very funny voice and he did look like he was trying to keep from laughing.

Wow....talk about your run-on sentence! Whew! Heh. This goes to show the kind of misunderstandings that can arise from not knowing the context of something! I imagined -- completely incorrectly -- that maybe Kevin had a different title (Dr or something, for example) and that the writers had got it wrong. Oh, well. Thanks for answering my question! Curiosity satisfied. Krissie

I have now finished watching MBB - that is, Season One and one and a half episode of Season Two. I am not going to bother watching season two anytime soon, unless of course I get really, really bored, I don't think it's funny at all. As for season one, I LOVED it but I think it went downhill by the end. Kevin and Jamie started out as two teenagers in grown mens bodies, very, very funny but by the end, whenever I saw Jamie I kept thinking, "grow up!!" Kevin got kind of boring, I think, all the fun lines he had in the beginning, just wasn't there anymore - No wonder RE quit the show (if that's what happened???) As much as I love our "Blond Dude" I have to say, that he didn't do that good a job in the last episodes of this show. He started out terrific as usual, he WAS Kevin, but by the end it seems to me like his acting was un-inspired and - dare I say it - sloppy, like he just came in, said his lines and went back home again. Very, very different from the performance we saw in BJ, like someone said once, you never saw him "acting" what you saw was Jim Dunbar, not RE acting, whereas in RE's last eps of MBB he was "acting" - if you know what I mean?? Still, I loved the show in the beginning, these two guys are a riot, all they do is think about sex, drinking beer, watching TV and of course eat - they eat all the time!!!! Too funny ;D I will definitely be watching it again (and again) but right now I'm having fun in Bakersfield, LOVE that show too ;D Take care and keep smiling - Chris

As for season one, I LOVED it but I think it went downhill by the end. I must agree with you Chris. I have been watching them in order, and have only gotten to number nine, the first disc, and already am becoming bored with it. I just mentioned to Kathy the other day that I know why he left the series, and think he made the right decision. It was funny, but as I continue to watch the episodes, it is losing it's humor, and much too silly. I will though, continue to watch all of the episodes that RE is in, and see if I also agree with you on his "mailing it in in the end". At least he knew when it was time to quit. Bakersfield, I feel, is a much funnier series.
