Not a guest star but one of the stars, Marisol Nichols' first episode of 24 was on last night. She plays Nadia, an Arab-American at CTU. Her character seems a little tentative and not quite up to speed--Chloe blackmailed her by threatening to expose that she was the one who left a sensitive computer program running! Now, I like Chloe but excuse me, Karen Bettencourt would have handed her her head on a plate! I am anxious to see how the character developes.
Rena Shofer was not on and I can't remember who they say she is supposed to the wife of.

Her character seems a little tentative and not quite up to speed . . . My thoughts exactly! All she seemed to do was speak urgently (and obliquely) into a cell phone and look worried. After her brief time on InJustice, I have to say -- not since BJ has she seemed to have a role that taps her talents and emotional depth and sweetness adequately. It all comes down to the script, and what's on the page . . .

It all comes down to the script, and what's on the page . . . Exactly! It seems all she does is translate a key phrase or call the White House for Bill Buchanan! Hopefully it will improve as the series progresses. Last night, Kent Newell was on 24 and on a commercial for Best Buy during said show, there was Ty Largent drooling over a new home entertainment system.

All she seemed to do was speak urgently (and obliquely) into a cell phone and look worried. After her brief time on InJustice, I have to say -- not since BJ has she seemed to have a role that taps her talents and emotional depth and sweetness adequately. Come now! You know 24 is all about the sweetness and the emotional depth! I agree that she doesn't have much character to work with in that role. I haven't seen every season of 24-- yet--but from the three I've seen, I'll have to say she's there for one of several possible reasons. She might be a random CTU employee to fill in some space left by last season's mass killing off of characters. But they made her Middle Eastern, so that tells me she has a larger role in what's happening. Either she'll be accused of conspiring with the terrorists at some point or she'll actually be conspiring with them but it will take everyone forever to figure it out. If they start to make her likable or interesting, it means she'll probably be killed off, but maybe not this season. As for Rena Sofer's part...I don't know where I got this idea, so I may be wrong, but I was under the impression she was going to be playing the wife of that guy who is played by the guy who played Dr. Romano on ER--the guy who got his arm cut off by a helicopter and then later died when a different helicopter fell on him. His story arc starts next week, so maybe we'll see her soon. And on to a completely different Blind Justice guest star sighting...I was watching the season five Angel DVD this week and was appalled to find that the guy who thought he was Conner's father in the fake family that was made up for him (very complicated story) was actually...Warren Doyle! No, Conner! Don't go home with that man! Stay with Angel and fight the Apocalypse! You'll be safer! Well, I feel better now.

I saw Greg Hermanson on Close to Home on Friday. I'm not sure if it was a rerun of not.

Rena Sofer finally made her appreance on 24 last night. She plays Marilyn, the wife of Jack's brother Greg, the bad guy from last season who had some dirt on the president. It seems she and Jack have a 'history'. Wonder if she and Marisol Nichols will have any scenes together?

This isn't about a Blind Justice guest star, but it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else.
The Who's new album, Endless Wire, has a track titled "Mike Post Theme." Mike Post wrote the music for Blind Justice.

"Annie Jansen" was on House, M.D. last night, as the woman who was caught in bed when the docs check out what they thought was the patient's house.

Well, I guess Terry Jansen is still a detective in NYPD. I saw him last night, interrogating someone on The Black Donnelly's (any relation to Anne?). He wasn't all that good at getting a straight or coherent story out of the guy. He could have used Jim to cut to the chase. Also...I was very disappointed to find that Sonny has gone over to the dark side at last. He beat poor Sean Donnelly to within an inch of his life--but Tommy Donnelly killed him in the end so I guess Jim is now without an informant.
