You may very well be right about Jim's fashion sense, anna and LL. But I have to part company with anna on one point. As a veteran of many highlights , I have a hard time picturing "Jim Dunbar" sitting in a stylist's chair with all those little pieces of tinfoil in his hair. I don't think the highlights were supposed to make us think the character, Jim Dunbar, had had his hair highlighted. I'm not sure they were intended to elicit any reaction except, possibly, "Hmm, looking good. . . ."

Jim definitely would not have been able to afford the clothes without Christie's money and/or discount. So, how do you think he dressed before Christie? Was he slouchy or did he dress as well as he could on his salary with off the rack stuff? And he seems pretty strong-willed and not likely to let people tell him what to do. So, did he really volunteer for Christie to "dress" him - or did she sneak all those great suits, shirts, ties & shoes into his closet after he was blinded? This is a really good point, which was not explored earlier in this thread. Was Jim such a clothes horse before he was blinded, or is his wardrobe Christie's doing, because he can no longer see what he's wearing? The only clue is in the opening sequence in the Pilot, where we get a few glimpses of the suit he's wearing. It looks like a pretty nice suit, but I'll let the "fashionistas" among us tell us if it's up to the standard of the later ones. Kathy is here in RI this weekend visiting family, and we are meeting tomorrow at the zoo. (Appropriate??) She isn't able to access the board. I talked to her on the phone tonight and told her how her post has generated some discussion, and we are both laughing over the fact that that post was from a year ago. I did not realize that. Note the date. August 26th, 2005. We never tire of this guy, do we?...and talk about a nice outfit.....wow. My favorite one though is still the FF ensemble. Look below

Thanks Rducasey for this pic [ [/quote] This is also my fav ensemble, I drool the most whenhe is in blues and greys. I also love the dark blue shirt from eppie 1 And, unlike some ofthe others, although I understand the need for the burberry overcoat, when they bring the live theatre version I will be the one inthe front row calling take it off! Another contender for best outfit would have to be: Ta -Da! ;D

Another contender for best outfit would have to be: ;D Everytime I watch that scene, I hope they will let us see the rest of the ensemble, and alas, no. So what do you think, natasha, boxers, jammie bottoms, sweats? Hhhmmmm......I think boxers.

For what it's worth, here's what he was wearing in a similar scene in the Pilot: It's hard to say for sure, but I'm thinking sweats.

Look below Mary is right - I have been in RI since Thursday and though I have been able to sneak on the computer here a couple of times a day to read what's been posted, I haven't been able to stay on long enough to post till now. I am flattered that something I posted a year ago has been resurrected and is being discussed. I am looking forward to a day at the Zoo with Mary and some special guests tomorrow. Also, there is a 52 inch high definition TV here and I was able to sneak in Seoul Man tonight - WOW! I am trying to figure out how I can get this TV into my car on Tuesday when I leave. Any volunteers?

Any volunteers? I'll help if you let me watch an episode first. Jimmy's head 52 inches high, wow. Can you bring it to the zoo tomorrow? I'm sure we can find a place to plug it in.

I am baffled as to why such an interesting post wasn't discussed at the time. I think the explanation may be that the thread veered off into a discussion of chest hair (!) shortly afterward. And who started that? -- the very same kathy! ;D

My favorite one though is still the FF ensemble. Look below I like the "Fancy Footwork" look, too. And someone else must have liked it, because it's the one on the posters and in the ads. Edited to add: I'm not sure it's exactly the same. The tie may be different, but it's pretty close. I'm also partial to the look on the second day of "Marlon's Brando." It took two screencaps to get the full picture, but I'm sure no one will complain!

( With country american hill billie accent) Um, I think he's nekkid unner there. oh, okay with maybe long cotton black pj bottoms. I know they look like sweats but wouldn't it be too hot? we should ask christie, obviously she was also wondering...

I think it worthy, even if I wasn;t around to join in. I prefer him sleek too. But would take the hairy variety if that's how he came!

This is a rather nice look, too, from "Up on the Roof": Is it the same as this, from "Under the Gun"?
