Hey, thanks for having my back Kathy. See above.

In Four Feet Under, at the end when Christie is sitting on the bed getting ready to leave Jim, the editors have flopped the film for RE's part. The window is on the opposite side, and the part in his hair is now on the other side, and the crease on the left side of his face is now on his right. ( I'll say it again -- I really need a life!). Can't figure out if they changed the blocking halfway through the shoot but still liked the other take.... Thanks to mlm's post the other day of a screencap from Doggone that I found particularly attractive...I realized that this is flopped, too. So tonight I made the sacrifice and watched the episode again. Guess what ladies (and Carl) the shaving scene that opens the episode is flopped, too. Jim's hair is normally parted on his left and the scar is on his left temple. His left temple is clearly visible in this scene - where's the scar? (Sorry, I couldn't find screen caps for this one. Maybe someone else can help me out. Forward to the scene with the chief of D's, which is where mlm's screen cap comes from. At the beginning of the scene, Jim's hair is parted on his right side. The files are behind his right shoulder. As the scene progresses the files are behind his left shoulder and his hair is parted on his left side. Doobrah - I guess I need a life, too Wow Kathy, besides the missing scar you noticed this too, in the same episode? What a great detective. You, of the very silent "absolutely" at Clay's dinner table. Good ears, like Jim. Good eyes, not like Jim.

I don't know if you would technically call these bloopers. Someone pointed out earlier that they used the same apartment for Sam Berglass and Pete Steckle. It also looks like they used the same hallway in Marlon's Brando (outside Marlon's apartment when Jim breaks through the door) and Seoul Man outside Mr. Yun's). It also looks like the exterior shot from Seoul Man, when Jim and Karen are leaving the Yun's is the same as the one in Dance with Me. Woner why production costs were so high when they used the same locations over and over and over

On Past Imperfect when Jim is speaking with Greg in the alley, the same woman passes by three times. She is wearing a gold and blue jacket. Musy have been shorthanded that day for the street scene

Most of the time, there is no one in the holding cell in the squad room. The only people I remember being in there are the "Hey, blind dude!" guy in the Pilot and Sonny in "Doggone." (Sonny, of course, hadn't been arrested; he was in the holding cell to conceal his status as an informant). Don't the other cops we see walking around the squad room ever arrest anyone?

This was my recollection also - until tonight. I was watching Rub a Tub Tub. In the scene where Fisk is standing with Jim asking him what they did to Eric in their interview because he has asked for his union delegate, a cop walks a perp through. In fact, the perp runs into Jim. If you watch them instead of Jim and Fisk, you can see the cop put him into the holding cell in the background.

I just noticed another time there is someone in the holding cell (other than rducasey). In one scene in "Marlon's Brando," there is a very brief glimpse of someone in there as Jim is walking into the squad room.

I'm sure a lot of people have noticed this, but I don't think it's been mentioned yet in this thread. In "Up on the Roof," when Jim is sitting at his desk thinking about the shots he heard fired on the roof, his desk lamp is on: There is also a pair of glasses (not his dark glasses -- he's wearing them) sitting next to the phone. Huh?

I guess someone sat at his desk. Figured Dunbar wouldn't notice. It was probably Russo, screwing around Dunbar's desk. Yeah...that's it; Russo.
I must skip over to the "Survival" thread and take down Russo a couple of notches for "messing" with Dunbar's desk.
Any reason, real or perceived, will do.
Later, Carl

Huh? I watched this episode last night and zoomed in on the "glasses". It does look like glasses, but it also looks like some computer or phone cable, neatly wound and tied. Notice that the "lense" on the right is larger than the one on the left. I would insert a screencap, but mine tend to revert to little boxes with a red x in them. There are clearer screen caps of this shot on Ron-Eldard.com.

I understand he turned 40 this year and that is the magic number when that close vision (phone books etc.) starts to go. I know it did for me. I can read a licence plate from across town but can not look up a phone number without them. Maybe director said "Action" and he whipped them right off and put on the dark glasses.

I think I have it figured out now. This shot is clearer and it looks like computer or phone cord bundled and tied to me with a shadow under the left side loops. Anyone out there agree???

I think so. They definitely don't look like glasses in that shot. I'd say a phone cord or some kind of cord that is tied together. You know, like you said!

"When I'm wrong I say I'm wrong" " You're right Kathy (Marty), you're right". That does look more like a cable cord. "My bad". "No offense", "none taken"
( The first quote actually is not B/J is it? No it is Dirty Dancing. Maybe that's what J & C should have taken up instead of ballroom dancing.)

It still doesn't explain the light though. I would say others just wanted it for general light, but it is directed right on Jim's desk. This part must be a blooper.
