LOL, anna! Guess what? Sneakers did the trick. ;D
Greta Garbo was in Ninotchka with Melvyn Douglas. Melvyn Douglas was in The Candidate with Robert Redford. Robert Redford was in Sneakers with Ben Kingsley. Ben Kingsley was in House of Sand and Fog with a certain blond dude.
Now let's do inuvik's suggestion -- Wentworth Miller.

Honk Honk!! That's me as a silly goose. Thanks Mags. I'm losing my mind -- whoops, there it goes!
Ahem. Wentworth Miller is in Prison Break with -- Frank Grillo AND Michael Gaston, who were in BJ with -- the boy wonder.
Now... Will Smith. Shouldn't be too hard.

This might be the long way around, but it is what popped into my head first:
Will Smith was in Men in Black with Tommy Lee Jones who was in Lonesome Dove with Robert Duvall who was in The Godfather with Al Pacino who was in Scent of a Woman with
Altogether now: Ron Eldard
How about Jackie Gleeson.

Jackie Gleason was in "The Hustler" with -- Paul Newman, who was in "Butch Cassidy" with --Robert Redford, who was in "Sneakers" with (all together now!) --Ben Kingsley, who was in "HoS&F" with --you know who.
And now: the new Bond, James Bond -- Daniel Craig. (I can do this in two movies!)

Let's firm up a couple of rules for this game. First of all, as has already been mentioned, playing from memory is by far the best, but we all know that's hard to do so checking a few things out on IMDB is fine. Just don't use one of those little calculators that tells you the exact shortest connection between any two actors. That's blatantly cheating. Also, if possible, it's a good idea to try some interesting paths that haven't been used to death. If the only way to RE is through Sir Ben Kingsley, then go for it, but there may be a way no one has tried so that's always fun to see.
Another rule is about how things are actually linked. This game links Ron Eldard to other actors via movies and television. If you want to play a round for fun using plays, producers, directors, and creators, that's fine, but it only counts enough to move on to the next round if the link goes from actor to actor.
Now...Daniel Craig.
Daniel Craig was in Road to Perdition with -Jennifer Jason Leigh who was in Bastard out of Carolina with --Ron Eldard
Now find Cary Elwes

Cary Elwes was in Top Gun with Anthony Edwards who was in ER with
Ron Eldard
This one might be tough, but then again it might not: Jessica Simpson

The problem here is that one of us will have to admit:
1 - that she knows who Jessica Simpson is
and
2 - that she is familiar with Ms. Simpson's work.

Jessica Simpson was in a really bad movie called the Dukes of Hazard with Michael Weston who was in a really bad movie called Coyote Ugly with John Goodman Who was in another bad movie called The Runner with a really fine blond dude named........
Ron Eldard!
(Isn't the DD the only claim to fame of Ms. Simpson? That makes it very easy to figure out who or how that ties to Mr. Ron Eldard)
(And just in case, Michael Weston was also in ER, albeit not until 2006 so the ties might be a little harder to bind!)
Okay, how about Harrison Ford?

The problem here is that one of us will have to admit: 1 - that she knows who Jessica Simpson is and 2 - that she is familiar with Ms. Simpson's work. Ha! Joel Vig of the Broadway fame of Hairspray, informed us that Ms. Simpson and someone named Brittany Spears, both got their start in the same Broadway show, the title of which currently eludes me. As theatre is inadmissable in this court, I will not strain my few remaining brain cells in remembrance. If only they had stayed on Broadway, perhaps more of us would: 1-know who they are and 2-be familiar with their work. --GB

Harrison Ford was in Firewall with Paul Bettany who was in A Beautiful Mind with Russell Crowe who was in Mystery Alaska with the lovely and talented Mr. Eldard
Next, Ralph Fiennes.
I know that this will not count, so I'll throw it in now.
Ralph Fiennes is on Broadway in Faith Healer with Cherry Jones who was in Doubt with Adrienne Lenox who is in Doubt with Ron Eldard

Although I am not all that fond of Jennifer Lopez, I do like Ralph Fiennes and he was absolutely wonderful in a little movie called Maid in Manhattan, which also starred Stanley Tucci who was in a movie called Sex and the Other Man with a "particularly" young and virile blond dude named Ron Eldard!
How about Richard Gere?

I amofficially in awe of all you guys who can play this game. It is like watching hockey and cheering but having NO IDEA how these athletes manage to do such awesome things! I know we had a "Six Degrees of" thread a while back, but it was never played as a game. I think Ron Eldard is easily as connectible as Kevin Bacon. Hey! One degree! Ron Eldard was in Sleepers with Keven Bacon. Anyway... Here are the rules: Connect whichever celebrity is named to Ron Eldard within six degrees. You may use either Television or Movies to do so, but try not to cheat (there's a website that does this for you) unless you get really stuck. It's okay to look over at IMDB because that can actually be a lot of work at times, but it's best if you try to do it off the top of your head. I'll start by connecting him to Robert Redford. Okay... Robert Redford was in Sneakers with Ben Kingsley --who was in House of Sand and Fog with Ron Eldard Wow. I thought there would be more degrees than that. Now someone find David Caruso.

Ron Eldard
