The person below me is phobically afraid of elevators and would rather take the stairs in a building providing there aren't too many flights -- anything under three flights and it's always the stairs. Monk would say true, but I'll say false. I always take the stairs but to try to get in shape, not because I am scared of elevators. My orthodontist was on the 11th floor. I worked my way up over 2 1/2 years from needing to stop to catch my breath from the 4th floor to the 6th floor to the 8th floor! It's good to get exercise where you can. The person below me has been to the opera.

True, even though I'm not a huge opera fan (Will you people please stop yelling so I can hear the orchestra?!). I was fortunate enough to see the Great Beverly Sills just before she retired in a Mozart opera (yum) . . . but that was years ago. I will occasionally listen to the WQXR Saturday afternoon live broadcast from the Metropolitan, but only if I like the opera and that's a short list. The person below me is beginning to wonder why a young, personable and talented actor named Ron Eldard has apparently decided to retire.

The person below me is beginning to wonder why a young, personable and talented actor named Ron Eldard has apparently decided to retire. No, I don't want to even think that, but rather that he is very discriminating in his choice of parts. But come on Ron, Freedomland? Every day I think that this will be the day that we will hear that he is working on his next role which will finally show the world what a wonderfully talented actor he is. This was evident in Doubt but unfortunately the size of the audiance is limited. So the next blockbuster summer movie please, or perhaps the next great TV drama series that is destined to run for years. Ther person below me has a favorite charity.

Nope, about the only thing I do on an innertube is float lazily down a river or ride wildly down a ski slope!

The person below me has had an encounter with a skunk! False. Seen 'em by the side of the road and smelled 'em plenty of times but thankfully never had a face to face encounter with one! The person below me has visited a museum with a traveling exhibit sometime in the last six months.

Lucky you, hoosier. The reason I thought of that one was last night my friend's husband had an unfortunate encounter with a skunk. Needless to say, the skunk won! Wow did he smell bad! You could smell him a long ways away too.
Now to answer your statement. False. We visited several museums in NY, but none of them had a traveling exhibit.
The person below me has gone longer than 42 hours without sleep. (That is the longest I have ever gone.)

Since this one was never answered, I'll do two. The person below me has finally figured out what they want to be when they grow up. True. I have a very fulfilling job and it is a perfect match for who I am and what is important to me. And now the most recent one: The person below me has gone longer than 42 hours without sleep. (That is the longest I have ever gone.) False. I think I've gone a full twenty-four hours once or twice, but sleep is highly important to me. I try to get at least seven hours a night and more on the weekend. The person below me has marched with a protest group to the nation's capital.

The person below me has marched with a protest group to the nation's capital. False, too far to either Canada's or the US's (Toronto and L.A. respectively, of course ) In the same vein: The person below me has signed a petition (paper, not online).

The person below me has signed a petition (paper, not online). True -- although I can't specifically remember what it was for or against. Mini-rant follows: These days, most of the petitions being circulated where I live are promoted by one special interest or another, to try to get some initiative on the ballot. The people who circulate them are paid based on the number of signatures they get. At times, you have to run a gauntlet just to get into the grocery store. Almost all of the political ads I'm seeing are for the various propositions on the ballot in California. Mostly, they consist of distortions if not outright lies. The initiative process was brought to California a century ago by a reforming Governor, Hiram Johnson, in an effort to take the state back from the railroads and other big-money interests. I'm sure the poor man is spinning in his grave when he sees what has become of his vision. I am at the point where I'm seriously considering voting against all propositions on the ballot, as an expression of my disgust with the whole process. End of rant. Back to the game. The person below me has voted in every election since becoming eligible to vote.

Absolutely true, and that includes every local election. I have never missed a presidential election -- I consider it the renewal of my bitching rights. I was raised on "If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem" and so I say if you don't vote you have to keep your dainty little mouth shut for the next four years . . . and who of us can do that? The person below me has a collection of favorite books she pulls out every Christmas and rereads, just to feel all cozy and nesty.

The person below me has a collection of favorite books she pulls out every Christmas and rereads, just to feel all cozy and nesty. True. It soon will be time to read once again about Miss Quinn traveling to her brother's parish to take care of her nieces and nephew over the holidays, instead of painting her sitting room as she intended to do! The person below me has seen one of the legendary jazz greats in concert. (I heard Ella Fitzgerald once! In addition to everything you would expect, she sang The Tennessee Waltz, since she was in Nashville.)

I totally agree. But I am getting a little tired of voting merely to protect my griping rights. I'm hoping that will change on November 7! Now back to the game. The person below me has seen one of the legendary jazz greats in concert. True! Sonny Rollins, whom I also had the opportunity to meet, because he studied at the same ashram in India as my then-boyfriend. The person below me has a tattoo.
