and the saga continues: "Jim, Karen, the trail's gone cold in the city. Lori Longlashes was last seen at a Fedora stand on Canal. Again 4 hats at "fie dolla" a piece, so Jim expect another fedora to arrive soon."

"No honey I'm sorry, come back to bed. I'm sorry I mentioned Anne Donnelly's name. We are just following a lead that maybe Anne is using the name Lori Longlashes and sending me hot merchandise from Canal Street to get back at me."

Modified to add: The saga still continues... They have finished with the hair and fibers found on those fedoras that Lori Longlashes sent with the latest Bocelli CD. Just from these few hairs we know that the perp has shoulder length chestnut brown hair. So it isn't Anne, who you know is blond. It is amazing what scientific analysis can reveal these days. The hair and fibers also show that the perp is about 5'8". Mold spores show that although she now lives south of the Mason Dixon line, she has been known to travel to NYC. They also found a type of dust that is only found on 48th Street in front of the Walter Kerr Theatre as well as a strand of shorter red female hair and also a silky blond male one. I think we are getting closer to her identity.

"Are you serious, I will never drop dime on her . She is one of our best customers. You just say, "fie dolla, fie dolla, and she will buy it. "

As a uniform interviews all of the tall, chestnut-haired women seen on Canal Street, the detectives discuss how they should approach Lori Longlashes when she is finally found.

- I'm a little superstitious, Dunbar, so sue me.
- Hey, look, I'm getting tan. So much for Ketchakan.
- Oh, dear, someone stole my watch! All the department gives you is a darn watch, and someone already stole it. Guess my detecting skills are a little rusty.
- Oh, shoot, someone stole my wedding ring, too. I swear I had one last night...
- Hey, Walt, what'd you just drop in my coffee?
- Daniel-san 50 years later: Hey, I caught a fly! Look! I can finally study under Mr. Miagi!
- They figured since you're blind, no reason to set us at a table with a light bulb...
- Right before Walter elbows Dunbar in order to steal his watch.

Alright, you two, this little thread absolutely deserves some major karma! But since I can only give one per hour and one to each, I'll start with the originator, Kathy -- Mary, you're next! Thanks for a such terrific laugh at the end of a very long Monday! Oh, and just so you know, I did make it safely out of New York! How you ask? Let's just say that gifting our favorite blond detective dude with a plethora of fine habadashery for all seasons, and treating his good ears to the experience of really good music (pirated or not!) landed me an incognito set of wheels to my flight and a safe trip out of the Big Apple. Sad part is, I still had one hat that I was going to give to him - but, with them - the rest of the guys from the 8th - hot on my heels, I decided I might be better to ship it. But, the more I thought about it, the more I talked myself out of it. Having to make a custom's declaration and provide all that detail might just warm them to my whereabouts. So, I guess I'll wear it in the heat of the day and replace it with something new next time I can safely return to the Big Apple - I trust you will let me know when the statute of limitations runs out? (Can't really be that long, can it? I mean, all I did was buy 'em, I didn't make 'em!)

Jim clears another case. Lori LL is off the streets of the 8th Precinct and safely ensconced in their holding cell. Oh, Jim, you did lock that cell door didn't you? wouldn't want a dangerous criminal like that out on the streets...

Have you forgotten, Miss Serial Killer, We got bribing a police officer (Handsome Homicide Detective) hanging over your head, so '"yeah" "attica in winter, bring a parka, the wind rips right through those tiers." And thanks for the mug shot. It's hanging in the Eighth, and every post office in the country. You can run but you can not hide................ p.s. thanks for the karma
