Whew, quite the read Krissie. I like Canada's system. No O or A levels, or GCSE's, or SAT's. Just your grades. Nice and simple.

Would someone please explain the O and A levels of the British school system. I have never really understood what they mean. And Mouse, thanks for the karma. Nerds rule! Oh, dear. What a can of worms you've opened here! First thing, the Scottish system isn't the same as that in England and Wales. (I'm not going to even attempt to go into details about the Scottish stuff. For one thing, you didn't ask. For another, I struggle to figure it out.) O and A levels... Hopefully that all makes sense, and hopefully I haven't made any glaring errors in my descriptions! Krissie "Now I know" ;D Thanks for the explanation, Krissie. In a way, its seems similar to what they call AP or Advanced Placement courses that kids here can take that gives them college credit while still in high school. I must admit that I never really looked into it that much but have always been curious. The extent of my knowledge of the British school system comes from movies such as To Sir with Love and Goodbye Mr. Chips.
