Here are two interesting links regarding the war in Iraq. This one is a blog by a soldier on the front lines: www.misoldierthoughts.blogspot.com/Well written and worth reading. This one is a link that I got from this blog: www.iraqbodycount.net/No one really likes to think about the number of Iraqis who have died in this ill begotten war, but here it is in black and white, and it is startling.

Very cool, Mouse.
I have a question about the body count and how it might be potentially spun. It says at that website you referenced that that is the number of civilians reported killed by our military intervention in Iraq, but then it's showing specific numbers of people found murdered at various times not at the hands of Americans. Are they looking at our involvement as the impetus for causing all these deaths or are they just counting the "collateral damage" that has unfortunately occurred during our bombing/fighting? I tend to think this site is counting everyone who is also being killed by each other in their civil war. I'm sure the Bushies would say those deaths were not our fault but are just the terrorists taking over and that it's a good thing we're fighting them there or else they would be here doing that to us here. To that I say we caused the number of terrorists to grow by uniting them in their hatred of us and we guided them into one specific country--and not the country responsible for hurting us--so even if we aren't personally killing innocent civilians at the rate reported, they are dead because we are there so...same thing? I don't know.

This is all eerily familiar, and not in anything resembling a good way. I'm just waiting for the Bushies to start talking about the "Domino Theory." Or "hearts and minds." If we have learned anything from history it is that we have learned nothing from history.

If we have learned anything from history it is that we have learned nothing from history. Well....they say "history repeats itself..." I wish it weren't so in this case.
