I hope those who have lost from this tragedy find strength in themselves and help from those around them. Humans are resiliant yet such losses are never easy to bear. I am glad no one on the board was directlyaffected by this catastrophe. I haven't heard "why" yet but I truly hope that the true reason is found and no cover ups happen and that changes are made so this cannot happen again.

I hate the Tapan Zee - as you head into the Nyack area, you look like you're going straight into the water!

CNN is reporting that the confirmed death toll in the bridge collapse is now five, and more than 100 people were injured. It's unclear how many people are still missing, but one woman who was believed missing after her empty car was found on the bridge turned up, alive and well, at her workplace.

I hate the Tapan Zee - as you head into the Nyack area, you look like you're going straight into the water! My Grandma loved the Tapan Zee bridge. We crossed it on our way to visit relatives in Connecticut. Grandma always wanted to take pictures or videos of the bridge.

Yikes! After we were reassured by state officials that the bridges in Indiana were structurally secure, today's paper says that the county I live in has the highest percentage of "structurally deficient" bridges in the state--35.3%!!!
