Oh I read such a wonderful idea for a Christmas craft. You take a brownie and cut it into a triangle. M&M's for the eyes, and two twisty pretzels for antlers, and a red peanut M&M to make Rudolph's nose. Tomorrow is our class party and I bought the brownie mix. I never claimed to be Martha Stewart nor have I ever won an award for my culinary skills but: My reindeer heads from brownies really suck They look pretty bad, and that's just my luck I forgot the oil and after all my toil The darn things are as hard as a hockey puck.Help! Anyone got a craft they can post before one o'clock tomorrow. Preferably not involving cooking.

I can't resist telling you my own brownie story. I was still in college and was doing a grade one and two placement at a school. I decided to bake brownies with them for math class. (A fun way to practice measuring and reading fractions, following directions....) They did a really good job so we stuck them in the oven and when they were done I took them out of the oven. Well, I am no Martha Stewart either and I put them on top of a still very hot oven to cool off. Duh!! Of course they continued to 'cook' while cooling off. It was the last day of my placement so we were having a little party. Part of the fun was supposed to be eating the brownies the kids had made. They were really hard too and a bit crunchie. Do you know those kids ate every one of them and asked if there was anymore crunchie brownies! They thought they were the best! Kids are great. I am now friends with the teacher whose class I was in and we still laugh about that.

[ Hope you found something. I did not see this thread until just now. I had to laugh when I saw that Anita, since by the date on it, I guess I wrote it a year ago. And for the life of me, I can't imagine why it has a baseball diamond with it. I did not try any craft this year that involved cooking.

Chances are I didn't miss it. I only thought I had because I thought it was from this year and not last year.
