Hot doesn't even begin to cover it!! Here in Perth, it has been over 40 degrees Celsius for the last three or four days. Help me, I'm melting!!!!

How did you know it was Australia Day? I was watching the Australian Open tennis tournament on TV, and one of the commentators mentioned the holiday.

Very observant of you! Did you watch the men's final last night? Federer seems to be unbeatable. I only watched part of it but it was an exciting match.

Did you watch the men's final last night? Federer seems to be unbeatable. I only watched part of it but it was an exciting match. Here (the West Coast of the U.S.) the men's final was shown on tape delay, beginning at 9 a.m. I was gone all day (it's now about 7:30 p.m. where I am), so didn't catch the match. You're right, if Federer's playing, the result is almost always a foregone conclusion. I'm assuming he won this one, too. Edited to add: I checked. Yep, he won.
