FYI--I went ahead and made some more screencaps for Past Imperfect. They're in the Photobucket account. Not done with the entire eppie, but this'll give us all something to play with here. Anyone with computer skills feel inspired to tackle Fancy Footwork? There's only a page and a bit there, and almost all of them are of the speedbag. I've seen some dancing ones here, but they are not in the album.

And . . . you know me . . . do we really have all we need for The Pilot, my all-time favorite episode? (Now there's a news flash.) Randy Lyman in the kitchen, anyone? Jim flexing his shaking hands after? And -- what a shocking oversight -- the blue-eyed close-up when he awakes from the shootout nightmare? (Do we already have that one, or has the heat caused me to lose what's left of my tiny little mind?) Hey, you know me . . . I'd like a screencap of every stinkin' frame of "Up on the You Know What." ;D

Modified to add: There is one picture of the blue-eyed stare on page one, but none of the tongue collector in the kitchen or the flexing hands that I noticed.

I can do anything except Fancy Footwork right now. The avi files are perfect for capturing screencaps, but when attempting FF, which is on a regular dvd, they're blurry and fuzzy.
I did most of Seoul Man and Leap of Faith and half of Past Imperfect. Was planning to make a small project of slowly adding, but if anyone wants to help out, it'd be greatly appreciated, as it takes a while with capturing, cropping, lightening, resizing... I'm probably much too slow to add for some peeps!
Maybe if anyone has a request, they can post here?

Well, here it is, and I really do need to give myself a big old Stephanie Plum head slap . . . Now, how about the images immediately following or Jim in martial arts garb? How about a nice profile shot of Jim flipping the jingly ball against the wall in addition to the one back shot we have? I'll take 'em all. ;D

The work's been done and they are crystal clear -- it's just a matter of copying the actual picture and not just the link. NO cropping and sizing required.

But is that even ethical? I can see for one or two individual pictures maybe--but if we want to copy dozens of pages of their caps, I think we should get permission first.

But is that even ethical? I can see for one or two individual pictures maybe--but if we want to copy dozens of pages of their caps, I think we should get permission first. I believe that the photobucket account they are talking about happens to be the one that shmeep and others put together. Right? Then it's no less ethical than making the screen caps in the first place. Now, if it's a Wire Image account, for example, and someone is taking the pics that someone else paid the rights to use, then that's not very cool. Same thing with linking to someone's photobucket account rather than saving pictures to their own image account. It steals bandwidth from the first person, and that's not kosher either. I am glad that you care enough to ask about this, though. Intellectual property and copyright laws can be a b*tch. I deal with them in my pattern business.

We have permission. I've corresponded with the woman who did all those thousands of screencaps and we can use them whenever we like. The only glitch is that, several months ago, she started rearranging some of her files which made some of our links to them stop working. I asked her about it and she said that she was planning to reorganize all of the Blind Justice screencaps so if we wanted to use them, we were in danger of losing the links if she moves them. She also said there was no guarantee she was going to maintain that account for any length of time so I always knew those wonderful screencaps could go away at any moment and that was why I told everyone to stop linking directly to that site and to instead transfer the caps you want to use to the photobucket account I set up. She has no problem with us using her screencaps, but as Alice said, it uses her bandwidth so she would prefer that we don't link directly to her site. As of now, she has not done any further rearranging, but I like to be prepared. There are two ways to get the caps you want from there into our photobucket account. You can save them to your hard drive and then upload them to the photobucket account, or you can 1) Go to our account at s12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/beyondjustice/ and login. username: beyondjustice password: shmeep 2) Go to the episode to which you are going to be transferring caps. Please don't transfer screencaps until you're sure you're in the correct episode. 3) At the top of the page, you'll see a dialog box. Above that, click on "add images from URL." 4) In another window, go to s2.photobucket.com/albums/y8/blindjusticecaps/ and select the photos you want to transfer. Under each photo, you'll see a field for URL, TAG, and IMG. 5) Copy the URL field and then paste it in Image URL box in our account and click submit. 6) If you want to submit multiple screencaps, you have the option to open multiple Image URL boxes and do up to 19 at a time. Anyone who wants to do this is welcome and I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate it the effort. Greenbeing, I really appreciate you making your own caps and posting them there for us because those aren't the same ones we've had access to in the past so it's quite a novelty.
