Good job GB! I've looked after a lot of kids over the years and have had many parents just like Marty's wife. Got a big kick out of that and how Marty would love every minute of phoning every half hour to check on his sick child.

First of all, thank you for writing. I have been in withdrawal, lurking around in the back alleys of other shows' fic, looking for a fix. I especially liked Tom being a little irritated with Karen for wondering if something was a guy thing, but then turning around and wondering if something that Jim did was a blind thing.

It's an addiction, those fanfics, but a good addiction.
Great as always.
Later, Carl

Liked it as always. Interesting how uncomfortable you made Jim's old friend, but probably true. Must be awkward to know Jim as sighted and then not talk to him much until you run into him and realize you don't know him as a blind guy or how well he's adjusted. Very well done.

As Jim would say, I absolutely loved the latest chapter! Jim clothes shopping, what a hoot. Just like all men! And his running into an old friend from his last precinct, who handled it all rather well in my opinion. Looking forward to future installments.

You mean guys try on clothes? I've never known one that even wanted to go in a clothing store, much less try something on for size. Men are lucky in that their clothes are sized in measurements, not "sizes" like women's clothes. If it's a 36-32 pair of pants, it generally is exactly that. Very seldom have I ever bought men's pants that I didn't get what was on the label. Neither of my husbands EVER tried on anything, except for a good suit, once. And that was because I made them go to a men's store with a good tailor for that. That's why I thought...wow, Jim would go in and shop for clothes? And why would his old buddy, the self admitted non-clothes horse, even be in the kind of store that Christie would shop in? This is a guy that shops, if you can call it that, in WalMart. But it made for a good story.

I'd venture to bet he's an exception to the rule. Is that your saxy man in this pic? Lots of times, musicians are clothes horses.

He's an comedian who does a fair bit of acting and music. He wasn't a clothes horse when I met him. He was a gaunt starving actor type who lived in faded black clothes. I did a Christie on him though!

Ch. 10 - One of the things that I like about your fic is that I always take away something that I had not noticed or had not understood before about the characters. In this chapter, it was the idea that Tom's tendency not to jump immediately into the middle of every disagreement would make him a good union delegate. Aha!
