That scene in the Pilot where Christie starts sniping at Jim almost as soon as he comes home has always bugged me. This is my attempt at explaining what was going through her head at the time.

Oh wow, GB this is so good. You really got us into Christie's head and made us realize all she had been going through in the past year. Not even taking in the fact of the infidelity, it really must have been so difficult for her to live with someone so closed to accepting help, and living with that fear that he would get hurt again or fail. She really had such hopes for that first day celebration and it all went so wrong just by the wording of a quesion about his day and probably his defensive attitude. I bet she ran that over in her head as to how it all went wrong. You are amazing, and thanks for another great fanfic.

I have to agree with Mary. Kind of makes you feel sorry for her instead of being angry with her. Sometimes, because all the focus is on Jim you forget why Christie might have been angry or tense when Jim came home that first day.
Thanks for the reminder that there are two sides to every conversation.
