I must say that this story does give us insight into Jim's world pre-reinstatement. Did any of this truly happen, who knows? And, frankly, I still maintain that they should have let us see into Jim's world prior to his reinstatement - not just a 3 second blurb of him in the jujitzu (spelling?) class, but life as it was for him before the training, O&M, etc. I don't think I stand alone in this, I would have liked to see it. I'll bet you a cookie that they would have had Christie blindfold herself to get a feel for his world before he came home. My mother did when my father was in the hospital after his accident.

I applaud you for this wonderful story; keep it coming for I can no longer wait!!!!!!

Like I said on my post to MLM, you all are so talented!!! Writing stories like that, that's amazing!

When I read it, it feels like I'm reading the story of what really happened when Jim first got blind, and that guy Lou really cracks me up, what a great sense of humor ;D

Another great chapter! Lou is great--matter-of-fact, no nonsense, a little sarcastic, but caring just the same. Just what Jim needs to get going again.

I love this kind of stuff and like everyone, wish we had seen some of it on the show.

Watching Jim leave what is now his 'comfort zone' and venture out into the world is 'awesome'. BJO is right, Lou is exactly who Jim needed to help him learn his way around. I loved his reaction ('getting them both killed') when learning that Lou is also vision impaired.
