As much as some thought Part 24 was it - and perhaps it should have been - there is still a wedding to come, at some point. This addition was started way back in October, before real life got in the way. But Part Twenty-Five is now posted, here and at Fanfiction.net.

Well, I won't hesitate to say another brilliant installment, my dear friend.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you have a gift - your writing among the many you possess.
Seeing Jimmy before he was blind, the events leading up to what we came to know, opens up a whole new spectrym into a world we can merely guess at.
Brava, Brava!!!

Great chapter! I also love seeing what Jim might have been like before he was shot. You are doing a wonderful job of staying true to the characters too. Jim is just as determined, dedicated, and stubborn blind as he was sighted. I wouldn't expect him to be any other way. Welcome back!

Welcome back Lori! I'm amazed you have time to write fan fic, but how nice that the story won't be left hanging. I hope things are going better and I'm glad your computer is up and running!

Lori, what a pleasure to see you back among us -- and writing again, too! I hope this board can be a refuge for you -- everyone needs one.
BTWD is one of my favorite Blind Justice stories. As always, Jim and Christie are very true to the characters we saw in the series. If this is their backstory -- and it definitely could be -- it explains a lot about their relationship at the time we saw them. It seems that Christie had a lot of practice "hanging in there" with Jim, even before he was shot. Thank you for continuing the story.

Its so good to see you again Lori! I especially liked the little aside where his boss wanted to have a "little talk' with Jim about all the risks he has been taking lately. Classic Dunbar! And the new home--which would be theirs not his or hers!

Lori - let me add my welcome back to the board to the others who have already posted. We missed you!
Thanks for posting your new chapter of BTWD. It is fun to see Jim and Christie at that stage in their relationship, and as others have said...you remain true to the characters as we know them. I for one, hope you will find the time to do more writing to share with us.

Lori!
Thanks for this wonderful chater. Your is a great BJ world to vist and have insight into. I love the way you tied the appartment to their relationship and it's growth, very emotional for me. And nice to see Jimmy when he was still in love and wiling to be a bit mushy!
Thanks.
N
PS It's good to see you around again, sweetie, I missed your voice.

Lori - welcome back I have said this before but it is still true - I am amazed that we have so many gifted writers here. Reading your fan-fictions somehow makes me less sad that we only had so few episodes of the show - sigh - what ABC would not give us, you have Oh, yes, the wedding..... what might be the right gift for Jim and Christie...hmmm.... maybe a ceramic chicken and a rooster too .... Take care and keep smiling - Chris

P.S. (Ashatan, the wedding is in New York in December - warm and fuzzy comes to mind!)

P.S. (Ashatan, the wedding is in New York in December - warm and fuzzy comes to mind!) Just a thought, when Lori posts the installment on the wedding, perhaps we could have a wedding celebration. We'd all be invited of course, and we can post pics of the outfits we'll be wearing, etc. Start surfin the internet for your outfit. Remember we can't outshine the bride.

“Jimmy, please.”
He held up both hands, dismissing her instantly. “This conversation is over. God, I have to get out here, I need some space,” he said, his anger on the verge of boiling over. Before she could say anything else, he snapped his seat upright and threw the car door open.
“Jimmy, don’t, please…” but it was too late; he slammed it shut and disappeared into the fog and the driving rain. This is perfect. The anger, the fog, the rain? I'd call that a Hemingway-esque ending! So glad you're back, and thank you for this great stuff!
