oops, sorry for the blank, This is a place where you can say stuff about Christmas Embers, my request for literary lieniency was not meant to make people feel like they had to shut up, merely letting you in on my world so I could post and you can be sensitive to my situation. I will be ready to ask for construtctive critisism on my writing later and I will let you know. natascha PS Jeez I sound like a winging prude! Blame the hormones, blame the hormones. "Don't be afraid to ask for what you want in life. Don't expect others to read your mind. Do them the courtesy of filling them in on what works for you and what doesn't. It's less romantic but far more satisfying." M.W. Penn

Ash, I love this, karma. Poor Jim wrapping gifts even if he thinks it's a "female activity" - serves him right that Karen wouldn't help him out. I can easily imagine him fighting with paper and tape getting more and more angry. ;D Looking forward to the next chapter, - Chris

This is lighthearted and fun. Did you try wrapping the paper blindfolded? I know you do that sometimes when you're writing a story. I totally understand Jim's reluctance to do the Santa thing, but I also think he'll make a great one since he is so good with kids.
Looking for the next chapter.........somewhere soon.

Feedback is feedback - good, bad or indifferent. As I said earlier, if you post to a public forum and ask for feedback, you leave yourself open for people's honesty, assuming they give it. I would think anyway.

Heh. I like that Jim pulls the blind card, something he rarely ever does. Apparently he's willing to do anything to avoid Santa-duty. I'm with Karen though, of course he can do it. He might not want to but he can. -Chris

Seems like I'm talking to myself here.... ;D I said in the poll that I didn't trust Karen in this matter, so far I'm right.... I'm enjoying this however, this is immensely fun. - Chris

I could sooo relate to Jim and his Christmas wrapping problems. Sometimes that tape just will not cooperate! Did anyone see this Sunday's Garfield cartoon? Jon and Garfield's presents turned out beautiful while Odies.... The tape definitely got the better of him.

I'm still reading. I'm still enjoying. And I'm looking forward to more, even though I understand that real life must come first! Krissie

OMG! It had totally slipped my mind I was even posting a story. I will recitfy this immediately and tie a piece of string on my finger to remind me to post daily until it's done. ( It's not such a long one)

What is it with men? Jim, trying to be practical and actually putting some thought into his gift, gets Karen a set of *gasp* long-johns. And here I assumed he had bought her some slinky lingerie and was waiting for her reaction. But...what if he had actually gotten her something more personal ?
