I love Bocelli - and I love Blind Justice - so I wanted to try to incorporate an Andrea Bocelli song into a Blind Justice video - it seemed fitting somehow. I picked L'Ultimo Re (The Last King) - it's one of my favorites because of the strength of the vocal - and tried to adapt it to this. It is not that the words are perfect, certainly not in translation, but the mood of the song, the rise and fall of the vocals, the orchestration, the musicality, the softness of it seemed to work. Please let me know your thoughts - your feedback would be so appreciated. It is now posted at Ron-Eldard.com in the fan-tastic section. www.Ron-Eldard.comLongLashes

Wow, I too send my thanks for another great video. Andrea Bocelli is one of my favorites and I have always loved that piece. Now it means even more! The scenes are just perfect with the music. To quote Randy Lyman "I don't know how you do it".

Have I missed something? Mary

Nor did the pilot episode as taped from my local ABC affiliate broadcast. I saw those scenes for the first time when I got the episodes on DIVX from Kenina. They are actually very, very intense - what I used for the video is only a small portion of what goes on - it makes you appreciate even more how horrifying the day was for both Jim and Terry. Oh my goodness, so maybe, maybe, if they ever release the series on DVD, maybe that will all be on it. I never realized there was more. That certainly does shed more light on that day. I hope one day we all get to see it. In the pilot we only see that one police officer has been shot and yet Jim says "I took a bullet for four cops....etc." Interesting.

I loved the video. Just curious as to what the song is about. I am saving all the videos on my computer and will put them all on one dvd when everyone is done. Maybe I'll need more than one! I wish I had time to learn how to do it. Everyone keep them coming.

I wish I had time to learn how to do it. Everyone keep them coming. This video was done to fit the musicality of the song - not the lyric - to take advantage of the vocal swells, the softeness of the melody. Here is a translation of the lyric, though: I'll dress your time in memories if you want I'll pick you up with my own hands when you fall I'll watch over you in silence if you're sleeping If you want, for you, I'll be the last king I'll be a king, if you stay here with me. I'll remind you of that star that never dies Secretly I'll steal it's light and so I'll shine I'll protect you with my voice and I will sing A song that will make the last king. I'll be a king, if you stay here with me. I'll be a king, if you stay Here with me. Here with me. LongLashes

I always thought that quote -- "I took a bullet for four cops." -- meant that Dunbar took the bullet to save the lives of cops who were still in the gunman's line of fire -- that if he hadn't acted when he did, and gotten shot, four more would have died. It made sense to me since the line follows Fisk's comment about cops wanting a partner who will "have their back."

LongLashes I went back and checked. All of those scenes are in the press pack DVD that I bought off ebay. I did not compare that to what I had recorded from the broadcast, but - from what all of you say - it sounds like there were a few different versions floating around.

I checked my promo with what I have off the tv and they're the same too.
Thanks LongLashes for printing the words to the song. Even though it has nothing to do with the video really, it's nice to know what is being said. I think it's kind of nice.

Can someone give me an example of what one of the 'missing scenes' is? I didn't see anything new in the video (nice job, btw!), but maybe I'm not paying close enough attention? Kyt

The scenes of the men down (were they also the bank robbers?), the police officer who was lying on the ground shot with another officer aiding him, and Terry with another officer, and running along the sidewalk, Jim bending down behind the car checking his gun, none of these scenes were in the version that I got from Ebay. That was all new to me in Lori's video. Mine is a very shortened version of the shoot out at the bank. I'm curious, did the network cut some of it, or did the person who recorded the version I got, just neglect to record the whole scene at the bank?

The entire shootout scene (which runs a minute and forty seconds: I timed it) was broadcast the night of the premiere, and tallies 100% with the ABC promotional DVD I got off eBay. I also got a set of the first eight episodes from an illegal eBay DVD-maker, and, for example, the opening shot of Jim's eyes was cut off. So I would have to say that these inconsistencies are the fault of whoever did the "homemade" recording.

Maggie, you are right, I did get skunked I guess. I just timed the opening sequence on my dvd's which I got from the person on Ebay and it is only 48 seconds so it looks like almost a full minute of it is missing. Mine opens with the shooter just seconds before we see Terry's back scurrying for the doorway. I am so glad that Lori put that in her video so "now I know" what I was missing. And that close-up of Jim's eyes scanning WOW.
