This cartoon is on the Theatre Talk site: I can sort of see Eileen Atkins/Sister Aloysius in this, but that's supposed to be Ron? I just don't see it, except maybe in the earlobes (Dogma will be so pleased). And what is that in his hand? Or, considering the subject of the play, do I really want to know? Is it maybe the...can't think of the word...the little utensil he uses to grab the sugar for his tea? Little tongs, that's it.

Or maybe HE stinks like a spliff, if you know what I mean. Makes the picture funnier.

I read Doubt last night and it was interesting. I wish I was actually going to see the play but at least now I know what ya'll are discussing.

It's been announced that Cherry Jones is going to do a national tour of Doubt! Un-freaking-believable! Who would have thought that someone like her would go on tour? I would love the chance to compare her performance to that of Eileen Atkins. Ms. Jones is from Tennessee, so maybe she will head down this way.

The Theatre Talk interview with Eileen Atkins finally is available on-line. www.cuny.tv/series/theatertalk/listen.lasso?year=2006Again, for those of you going to see the play in a couple of weeks, it might be best to wait. Her discussion of what her character believes and what she doubts is fascinating. There are a few clips from her and Ron's scenes in the play, and a bit of discussion of how the two of them interact off-stage. How I wish that Ron had been able to participate in this interview instead of dealing with the WB11 chick who tried to get him to juggle.

I'm going to try to wait, but I Doubt I'll make it to the 12th which is the day I get back home. I'm going to give it my best shot though. But, I don't know if I can stand not watching a couple of scenes with Ron!

For everyone who is about to go to Doubt--have a wonderful trip!
Maybe you could all have with you a piece of paper with this board's address on it. Just in case you do get a chance to meet Ron after the show, you could give it to him!! You never know, he might check us out one day!

You never know, he might check us out one day! Yikes. Do you really want him to stumble across those six pages in the "Dressing the Dunbar" thread where we discussed -- in excruciating detail, if I remember -- the amount and length of his chest hair? Let's hope he never finds this board! It is possible to die of embarrassment, you know.

But I think the chances are slim anyway, since if I remember correctly in an interview he was asked about the internet and he said he doesn't go near computers because he is like "kryptonite to a computer."

This board is for our amusement and I would also be terribly embarassed for Ron to read some of the things I have written - especially since I played a large part in the chest hair study!! So there will not be any paper in my hand with any addresses on it on the 11th!
