BTW, hate to be a bubble-burster, but Ron Eldard touring, at this stage in his career? Far more likely they'll send out the understudies or a second string cast. Sigh. Not to worry, mags, you didn't burst any bubbles here. I didn't think it was likely an actor of RE's stature would be in a national touring company. I was just indulging in some wishful thinking, hoping I was wrong.

Big news! Guess who just spent 20 minutes with Ron Eldard backstage at the Walter Kerr Theater? Barbara Ann and I! Ron is very ill with the flu, went to the doctor this afternoon, then did the matinee. He is absolutely delightful and as sweet as pie. It was amazing to hear him and Barbara talk...they know all the same places and he knows exactly where she lives! Amazing! We had a photo taken with him...he was so sweet, he put his arms around us both and was so worried about giving us the flu. He was in his shirtsleeves and was getting the chills. I told him, "Oh honey, I can feel your fever through your shirt." I would say it was close to or at least 101. I don't know how to post the photo from Barbara's computer...she doesn't have a scanner. What a gentleman...and a delight! As sick as he was, he spent a great deal of time with us. He has a very gentle personality and is very down to earth. I was very touched that he asked questions about us, etc., etc. Again, it is soooo amazing how many things he and Barbara have in common...the old neighborhood, restaurants, a bar, etc. They were laughing like old friends. At one point, I was looking for something in my purse and when I looked up, he and Barbara were like, elbowing each other and laughing about some place they used to go when they were kids. More later... xoxo M. Oh, I don't know what to say! This is terrific! Can hardly wait to see the picture! It is so reassuring to know he is as nice a person as I had imagined him to be. You guys are so lucky! How did you arrange it? Did you see the play??? More info please!

Yes more info please. I am so jealous but happy for you. And it's nice to know that he is as nice as he seems on tv interviews. What a guy too--doing it when he was sick. sigh. How lucky. Please figure out how to post the picture. Can't wait to see it.

Hey Mouse! I was being sarcastic in my comments too about meeting us etc. Guess it doesn't translate well at all.

Don't forget, we are the President and Vice President of his fan club and we've been in touch with his management since early this year.

This is all very exciting! I'm thrilled for you and a little jealous for myself. If ever there was a famous person I wouldn't mind meeting...
Let us know if it happens again! (I'm sure you will.)

ok,, i am the skeptic,, ( after the pennylane scandal ) ,, i need proof to really believe you were with our ronnie I am so sorry that someone's idiotic act of making up Pennylane caused you to doubt the truthfulness of others on this board! The people who met Ron are well known to everyone here and would not lie about something like this. I believe them with or with out pictures (oh, and so does Shmeep, who is making me up at the moment). Now I'm going to go smite myself and log myself off into oblivion once again. Love you all!
