I just spoke to someone in the Home Entertainment Department at Paramount Studios. He said Blind Justice is not one of their shows. He advised me to contact Disney Home video because they produce it. He also said Bochco has a deal with Disney. I think it is time for some sleuthing. Curioser and curioser. Blind Justice was produced for Paramount and used to be on their website: Bochco had a deal with them for that particular show. He also has a deal with 20th Century Fox -- he's producing Over There for F/X and has a show in development for Fox. PLUS, the deal with Disney, which is new as of a couple of weeks ago, and may somehow be tied in with his taking over at Commander in Chief for ABC/Disney. Bottom line? Someone's gotta call Bochco Productions and find out who we start pestering. And we'll pester them until they say uncle! Okay, this really IS weird. The promotional DVD I scored off eBay clearly features the Paramount Studios logo, plus, I just checked and Blind Justice is still on the Paramount Television website: http:/www.paramount.com/television/blind-justice/ (That should have made a link -- sorry!) This could mean one of two things. 1. the guy at the Home Entertainment division was wrong, or 2. Steven Bochco kept the ancillary rights to the show? I seem to remember reading somewhere that he had a years-long court battle to get back the rights to NYPD Blue for the video/DVD. So . . . we need more sleuthing. And somone in California really needs to call Bochco Productions to get the correct intel!

Well, here is my attempt to post pictures again. I have one of me with the whole sweatshirt Hey, looks good on. Yeah... definitely. Wear it. It's very cool. and then I have a couple with just the logo. Augh! I can make out that there's a logo, but that's it. Looks like it's black on black, is that right? Making it that much harder to photograph. Kyt

From reading up on www.tvshowsonDVD.com , it looks like there are DVD companies that produce the DVD editions, regardless of what studio puts the show out. I don't understand how that works, but for instance, Anchor Bay is putting out 3rd Rock from the Sun DVD, but that wasn't the studio that produced the show.

Maybe you could try that. Awesome that he sent you that! I'd wear it if I were you, at least on occasion. Looks great.

Do you think scanning a hard copy would make it show up better? Maybe I should just take another picture of only the logo.

I was very encouraged to find this. Maybe there's hope for us. Has anyone found out where we need to write yet? Thanks for this! Very interesting. I say let's go with Paramount until we find out differently. They put out the promotional DVD's. If it is not them, perhaps they'll answer one of us and tell us who is responsible for them. The address is in the Steven Bochco thread. Hold the presses!!! (Always wanted to say that.) If you check back through the Bochco thread -- think that's where it is -- you'll see that a board member in California called the Home Entertainment division of Paramount and was told the show "wasn't one of theirs" and to try Disney, probably because of the Disney/ABC connection. Yes, it sounds odd since the logo is on the DVDs and at the end of every episode after the Bochco Productions violinist, and the show it still listed on the Paramount TV website. But there could be any number of reasons for this answer the caller was given, chiefly that Bochco holds the ancillary rights to the show and not Paramount. Bottom line? Letters to Paramount could be a waste of time. We need someone in California to call Bochco Productions and find out who we pester.

It took about an hour, but I finally found a fax number for Bochco on the net. My sister has a fax machine so I'm going to try and write something tonight and fax it tomorrow. I'm sure a phone call would be better, but this is a start. (And the only time I got a response from them was when I sent a fax).

We need someone in California to call Bochco Productions and find out who we pester. Don't you really want someone who knows what kind of questions to ask? I'm in CA, but I'm not calling (to which the reply should be "thank you" since that'd be like asking Christie to give lessons in lumberjack logrolling). I've got nationwide so calling local or calling the opposite coast, doesn't make any difference. Or is there really some reason a local person needs to call? Just curious. Kyt

I am absolutely no good on the phone or I would call, but I am good at writing letters. I'd be willing to write one if someone wanted to tell me what they thought before I faxed it, but a phone call would probably be more effective and definitely faster.

I called Bochco productions yesterday. The receptionist forwarded me to the correct person, but I got her voicemail. I figured leaving a message was futile. I will call again this afternoon.
