Hello Everyone!
I'm loving how the board is going. If any of you would like to see something here that isn't, just let either myself or Housemouse know and we'll set it up for you and see how it goes!
Also, I'm thrilled to see how many of you find this to be a safe and friendly place to post whatever you want. That is our goal and we want to make sure to keep it that way.
That being said...I want to tell you that we didn't set this up to retaliate against anyone at the other board. In fact, I have great fondness for that board and will continue to pop by from time to time. It brought a lot of great people together and I appreciate that. Perhaps it was just time to broaden the scope of our discussion. This is why we are totally open to suggestion. This is for everybody! I hope it's fun. I'm enjoying it so far.

Me too! But I have a question: What is this "exalt/smite" thing? So glad you asked! That's how to measure everyone's Karma. If you really like a post, you are welcome to exalt it and, similarly, if you don't care for it, you're free to smite. It was a default setting, but I thought it sounded kind of fun so I left it. If it starts to get out of hand, I can get rid of that feature but I'm keeping it for now. I noticed I don't have any karma.  |

Look, I'm just going to jump in right here and see how tolerant you all are. Might as well get it out upfront, because this post brings up a point that I think avoids a key distinction. Mind you, *I* did not bring this up, but I am replying. That being said...I want to tell you that we didn't set this up to retaliate against anyone at the other board. I wouldn't have presumed it so. In fact, I have great fondness for that board and will continue to pop by from time to time. It brought a lot of great people together and I appreciate that. You know, I appreciated that aspect too. However: Without having any interest in an ongoing discussion, I would like to point out that missing, key distinction: Since I, and other founding members, have been locked out, returning isn't an option for some of us. Understood. Yes, I heard about that but didn't want to be the one to bring it up since I am completely clueless about what went on there. I'm so sorry things got ugly and hope you'll feel comfortable doing what you do over here. I sure do like your posts. You keep us thinking.
I only brought up the other board because I didn't want anyone to think this one is a petty revenge board. I'm glad to see we didn't come across in that way and hope we never do.
