During my recent trip to Los Angeles for the NCIS Fanfest and Vancouver to stay with a friend, my other friend Suzanne and I, courtesy of Miz Em from Numb3rs.org were given the opportunity of taking a private set tour of the NCIS set. Miz Em is a friend of Leon Carroll who is the NCIS Tech Advisor for the show and a former NCIS agent - and a very popular member of the crew.
The trip to the set occurred the day before the "official" fanfest visit to the set and was on a normal filming day, whereas there was no filming the day of the official visit.
We had no sooner walked in the gate and met Leon than David McCallum drove past us on the way to his parking space. He stopped for photos on the driveway and chatted with us for a few minutes before heading off to his trailer.
After a brief tour of the sets, we stopped to watch Michael Weatherly rehearsing a scene and, while we couldn't hear/see much, he had the crew in fits of laughter. He also lived up to his reputation as a practical joker...scaring the daylights out of Suzanne with a practical joke. And...his eyes...they're just amazing and he just has this way of fixing you with them...
We ate with the cast and crew from the full craft table (not the abridged version supplied the following day) with a choice of both hot and cold food of all kinds.
It all seems to have an aura of unreality to it now, but Suzanne and I ate lunch sitting opposite Mark Harmon and discussing football with him. Further up the same table was Cote de Pablo with her mum and sister. Later on, Michael Weatherly breezed in and even more quickly breezed out on the way to a location shoot at the College of the Canyons. (We had already briefly stopped Michael in his rush to change clothes for photos outside).
MW was excited to be heading out to film with a "hot" co-star (and it was funny to hear Mark Harmon's admonishing "Michael" when he said that. MH seems very much the father-figure). MW was in such a hurry that he didn't even get to finish his food!
Later on, we spent quite some time under headsets watching Mark Harmon and Cote filming a scene for episode 4.07 with Mark coming and checking with Leon as to how he should handle things and we also sat with the sound guys while Cote, Brian and David McCallum were filming a scene in Autopsy (obviously we couldn't see anything of that one because there just isn't room in the lab for everyone). The sound guys were funny and charming and told us about their band.
(Anyone who reads Pauley's blog on the CBS site - she's not joking when she says Brian Dietzen can sing - we heard him singing "Happy Birthday" to a crew member. Met both him and his wife - lovely couple).
We also met John Kelley, Suzanne's favourite NCIS writer, who was also at the fanfest the next day to answer questions, and various technical people, the guy who does the plants and greenery (he was hilarious) and a lot of the other staff.
Everyone, from the most menial worker there up treated us all like royalty. Everything anyone has ever said about how nice the cast and crew of NCIS are is absolutely true.
It was certainly a day I'll never forget.

Luke Bryan is my favourite US contry singer. His voice takes me away from all issues of this world so I can enjoy my life and listen songs created by his mind. Now the singer is going on a tour in 2019. The concerts scheduled for the whole 2019, up to the 12th of October. Tickets are available for everyone. If you love country music as mush as I, then you must visit at least one Luke's concert. All tour dates are available at the Luke Bryan concert list. Open the website and make yourself familiar with all Luke Bryan concerts in 2020!

Florida Georgia Line is my favourite country music band. Headliners Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are those people that can make anyone sing along. That's why I like to visit their concerts. And - that's surprisingly beatiful - in 2019 they have CAN'T SAY IT AIN'T COUNTRY TOUR which covers all the USA cities and towns. For concert info visit Florida Georgia Line Tour Dates.

Breaking Benjamin is my favourite rock-band of 2000s. They had so many hits! The ones I remember are 'The Diary of Jane', 'Tourniquet' and their hit 'So Cold'. These are real masterpieces, not garbage like today! And it is awesome that they have a tour in 2019! So I'm going to visit their concert in 2020. The full list is here: breakingbenjaminconcerts.com. Click on it and maybe we can even visit one of the Benjamin's together!
