I haven't been on the board for a couple of days, but when I logged on today I saw that, much as I hate to do it, some moderation is necessary. I don't know what happened or what inspired it, but things have turned nasty in some of the threads and if this keeps up, no one will enjoy coming here as a means of escapism.
Our policy all along has been that we don't ban people. This doesn't mean people have the right to be nasty to others. For the first time in over a year, we have had to enable the warning system. If you have any warning points against you, you'll know it. Only you will be able to see it (the board won't know unless you tell them). Once you are at 100%, you will be banned for one week. If you don't see any warning bar above your avatar, you are not our target audience here.
We are shocked and very sorry that it has come to this, but things are starting to get out of control and we had to do something to make sure we are all respectful of each other. We let a lot go on around here that not everyone likes, but when it comes to respect, there is no gray area.
You all have the right to exalt or smite. Let that be your method of expressing your opinion. Or write it in a PM. Do not make personal attacks on the board if you still want to have a board.
