What holiday does you birthday land on. I'll start: Mine, this year, was on Daylight Savings Begins. My birthday was only 23 hours long. But, that's the holiday I got. Bjobsessed and Euphyer are May Day or, in some countries Solidarity Day. Inuvik is Cinco de Mayo Anna is DDay. Dogma is VE Day To find out your birthday/holiday go to: www.holidays.net/dailys.htmLater, Carl

That's kind of fun Carl! My birthday - which passed on the 9th of February - although shared with President William Henry Harrison, the 9th President of the United States, and the anniversary of the Beatle's appearance on the Ed Sullivan show is more interesting because it is also:
Extraterrestrial Culture Day (New Mexico) ........
which I think is actually quite appropriate given that I am, even after all of these years, a RESIDENT ALIEN!

My husband was born on his parents' first wedding anniversary, so that's always had a holiday feel.
My birthday has been on Easter three times.

It's not exactly a holiday, but the 1963 March on Washington (and Martin Luther King's famous "I have a dream" speech) took place on my birthday.

It's not exactly a holiday, but the 1963 March on Washington (and Martin Luther King's famous "I have a dream" speech) took place on my birthday. That's an excellent one, and it should be a holiday. Nixon resigned on my birthday, which I consider to be the BEST birthday present I ever received, or ever will receive.

I can celebrate my birthday with:
Mother, Father Deaf Day, National Honesty Day, Spank Out Day, and my favorite, Walpurgis Night -- an old pagan festival which borrowed its name from Saint Walburga, whose feast occurs on May Day. Witches are driven away on this night with cracking of whips and blasting of horns. Also celebrated in Sweden with bonfires. In Czechoslovakia, people would spread grass or sand on the doorstep in the belief that witches could not enter a house before counting the blades of grass or grains of sand. Sounds almost as good as Halloween!

Happy Birthday Barb and wishing you many, many more.
Did I also mention that August 23 is also the:
Southern-Hemisphere Hoodie-Hoo Day?
(Don't ask me what it is.) It is Barb's Holiday birthday.

Who you calling a "hoo"?
LOL!!! Thanks, Carl. Since I didn't find a holiday, I figured my birthday surely MUST be the holiday.
