I noticed this sparking up over on the "What's on Your Plate?" thread and thought it deserved its own place. I'm sure we all have sayings that have either helped us or amused us (or both). I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'll go ahead and quote what has been said. 3 great quotes from our leader: 1. Be fully present for your own life. 2. There are divine forces out there wishing us well. And, my fave, on the lighter side: 3. Instead of a 12 step program., try a 2 step program. 1, Get Over It. 2, Stay Over It. Instead of a 12 step program., try a 2 step program. 1, Get Over It. 2, Stay Over It. Karma! This is joining my short list of "Words to Live By." Some others are: James Taylor: "Keep your overhead low and don't acquire a major drug habit." A Friend: "If you are broke and it comes down to food or rent, pay your rent. Your family and friends will feed you, but they won't let you live with them for very long." Great stuff! I have to add Conchata Ferrell's "Three Rules of the Road": 1. Never eat at a place called Mom's. 2. Never play cards with a man called Doc. 3. Never sleep with anyone crazier than you. There. That's a nice start.

“Panic. I know most experts tell you not to, but it’s gonna happen one way or the other, so you might as well get it out of the way early while you still have the strength to really get hysterical.”
Stephen Colbert on what you should do first during a power outage. But really, couldn't it apply to almost any emergency?
Another quote I like, and has become my mantra of sorts:
"I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it people like me." Stuart Smalley

One of my favorite quotes from another Ford - Henry that is:
"Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right!"
