Did anyone else remember? We missed it, didn't we? Or were we in denial? Exactly one year ago on May 17th, ABC announced their new fall schedule . . . and you-know-what wasn't on it. Cancellation Day. But here we are, one year later, and here's that damned shot glass of wheatgrass juice, lifted once again to the tecs of the Eighth, to Steven Bochco, to Ron Eldard, and to Jimmy (did he have a middle name?) Dunbar of the NYPD. So here's to us! Few but mighty loyal to the end . . . and beyond.

Thanks Maggie for remembering and marking this sad day for us. Here's to everyone connected with Blind Justice--on the show and online! (It is so cool that this site has a smiley with shades--a blind smiley as Eyphur says!)

I didn't forget. I was just trying to ignore it. However, once again thanks to Blind Justice, I've met some great people and had a lot of fun with more to come. It is/was one of the best shows to come along in a long time. For us, the magic has not left and niether have the memories and friendships that have grown because of it.
So here's to Steven Bochco, Ron, and everyone else who had a part in a very successful show--maybe not in the ratings, but in ways that will last far longer than the show ever would have.

And we're still here.
What's with the wheatjuice? This is a bottle beer moment. Everyone here knows when Dunbar got melancholy, he grabbed a beer; a bottled beer; chilled; opened it without a bottle-opener; used no glass; drank it straight from the bottle.......
(Well, sometimes he used an opener.)
Later, Carl

Okay Carl
As the lone male, you toast with a beer and the rest of us with wheatgrass juice.
Here's to a truly amazing and unique show and to all the people on this board, who are also amazing and unique.
This is my first foray into a forum of any sort, and I must say it has been a great experience. I have met some very generous people, who are willing to share not only their feelings and thoughts about the show, but also ready to make friends with someone they've never met from halfway around the world.

I remembered it yesterday. I remember last year htinking of all the stuff I had to do before we would find out (final exams, graduation, blah, blah, blah) and I remember I painted my room the day I found out. I was covered in yellow paint and I cried. I still miss the show and it will allways remind me of springtime and those last few weeks of college.

When they were announcing the cancellations for this season, it did hit me then and I was sad all over again

Oh yeah, I remembered, too. Just one of those unpleasant memories that I'd just as soon forget.
Bartender: set up another round.

In honor of this anniversary, I watched Fancy Footwork over the weekend. The poignancy of the locker room scene in which Jim puts away his gun and of the last scene in the squad hit me as hard as they did the first time I saw them.
Have I ever said how much I love this show?

Have I ever said how much I love this show? In honor I would like to watch all thirteen episodes again, back to back straight, while my poccorn get's cold, my ice-cream melts and my DH allows me 13 hours of uninterupted bliss. Not gonna happen! And I'm away for 9 days with no computer, no DVD player, Ann, if I could I would send you a never ending DVD of Blind justice. Rather like a verver ending box of chocolates where whenever you reach in there is a new one. IMD ( In mY Dreams)
