OK, so I know others didn't like it, but as long as you ignore the extremely implausible parts (like a Mac truck driver being completely oblivious to the fact that he's being shot at by helicopters), it's a fun movie. I would have preferred the original premise to have been explored more, and the movie kept as true sci-fi, but seeing two Ewan McGregors on screen at the same time was almost more than my lustful little heart could handle. I only wish his shirt hadn't been so well-made, and could have torn off.

I did prefer the Scottish Ewan and that part was neat in his house.
But , like BJ, I thought the ending would have been different. All those little CGI men at the end was as implausible as a 2:30 black & white dance sequence. (Doobrah takes cover again.)

For Jillaw (who didn't watch Blind Justice--but other than that she's okay) Doobrah is referring to how the very last sequence of Blind Justice was (in the opinion of many) a disappointment. They end the show with the main character at a dance class with his wife, but it turns into this black and white fantasy sequence that wasn't in keeping (in the opinion of many) with the rest of what was a rather gritty police drama. Odd choice, many of us thought.

Two Ewan MacGregors. Trying to wrap my brain around that. Well, if I can talk The Boy into it, we may check it out after all, well-made shirts notwithstanding.

I also liked the Island, and it was a good sci-fi movie. Too bad they kept throwing action in there to wreck the story! I think the ending was like that because they were leaving it open for a sequel if it had been a hit. What would happen to all the people? It's perfect, as the ending I felt was very unsatisfactory.
