Okay, I don't even care that most of you don't seem to be Little House on the Prairie fans. I found this on the Televisionwithoutpity forum and it cracked me up so I feel compelled to share it. If you don't like it, don't read it.
Favorite Out-of-Context Quotes from Little House on the Prairie:
1. My baby! My baby! My baby! AAARGH! My baby! 2. I’m here! I’m here! I’m here! I’m here! 3. You reap what you sow 4. Let it out, son! Let it all out! 5. Jezabel! I've been reading my way through the televisionwithout pity forum about Little House. It's so funny! I'm up to page 57 of 190+. I don't really like the show, never have, but it seems to be on TV all the time now and it is kinda fun to poke fun at.

OMG! ROFLOL! ;D I am wondering did anyone see the six week mini-series Little House on the Prairie ABC aired this summer? Forgive me for watching a show on that network, but it started before they gave BJ the boot. I enjoyed it a lot. Pa was played by much less of a pretty boy than Michael Landon (no offense to the late great Mr. Landon). To me it was more true to the books. I also really liked Mr. Edwards.

I remember Little house from when I was little! I never missed the show!
I saw all the DVD sets at Best Buy when I went the other day, and I'm thinking about buying them one of these days.

I did watch it--and it's okay to like other ABC shows. I still do. In many ways it was more true to the books but...then it just wasn't at the same time. There was no Baby Carrie, for one thing. And what was with Ma's hair? It was ridiculous that Ma would have it all loose like that. It also got a bit too PC at times and there were some weird music moments. I did like Hot!Pa (as they called him over at the TwoP thread) and his beard and Laura was really cute. Over all, it was a good miniseries, but there were almost as many inaccuracies there as in the original series, they just weren't as funny.

I remember Little house from when I was little! I never missed the show! I saw all the DVD sets at Best Buy when I went the other day, and I'm thinking about buying them one of these days. My problem is that now, whenever I watch an episode, I can't stop laughing. The more horrible the situation for the Ingalls, the more tertiary characters there are who show up for one episode, die, and are never mentioned again, the more I laugh. I still think a lot of the episodes are really good, but there's always something to mock and that makes it all the more fun. They now show repeats daily on both The Hallmark Channel and TVLand.

I have the latin Hallmark channel... I wonder if they show it. If not, DVD will have to be.

I have all the seasons on dvd (up to eight). I never missed it when I was kid. I watched some of the miniseries, but it didn't have the same appeal. Not much humor. Mrs. Olsen was a hoot!

If I hadn't already just given you karma, I would have given some to you now for posting something in my LHotP thread that nobody cares about. (I know this isn't generally the crowd for it and that's okay.) So...I have to ask. Favorite episode? Most disturbing thing you've ever seen on the show? Most unintentionally funny moment? I personally like the one when Nellie goes and elopes with Luke Simms, the pig farmer's son, and Nels and Harriet burst in just in time to stop them from consummating the marriage and Harriet shrieks, "Nels! Make her a widow!"

Hmm...I'll have to think about that. But I do like the one where Albert and Laura pretend to be the Lochness monster and scare Mrs. Olsen to death. I always liked it too when she got burned by one of her schemes and you'd hope that she'd change, but never did. I know I'm rattling on about nothing, but what can I say? I'm home alone for a week and I'm bored.
