I was thinking about books that I have really enjoyed and I had to list two of my very favorites. One is The Death and Life of Bobby Z by Don Winslow. It is a fun to read, well written story of a guy forced to go undercover.
The other book I absolutely love, that I would even call my all time favorite is Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. I couldn't get into his other books like Terms of Endearment or The Last Picture show, but Lonesome Dove... It is thoroughly engrossing from start to finish. I fell in love with Call and I thought Tommy Lee Jones played him to perfection (in the miniseries). I also loved the sequel Street of Laredo.
In my opinion, these are two great, albeit very different, books.
