Ok this isn't something I heard but I though it might fit here but if it really doen't belong here just tell me and I'll start a confessions of an idiot thread.
Tonight I was reading the Blind Justice thread at Television without Pity and it spelled out exactly why Sofa King Cool was blurred out in the pilot episode. I feel so so stupid now that I never got it. Now I'm gonna laugh every time I see/hear it.

(Sofer) She might not even have known that it was a reference to something else. I have a friend with a tshirt that says Nofa King Brain. I had to read it a couple times to get it. When I was a kid, my father had a toolbox with Half Fast Electric Company stencilled on it. I never got the joke until I was grown. We never heard that phrase uttered in our house. So I was totally clueless. Now I know where I get my fractured sense of humor.

Here go my ears again, but in Marlon's Brando, when Karen is interviewing the Mrs Dressler in the hospital and she asks Karen if the cuts are bad. karen says she is bandaged and can't tell. The woman says the cop in the morning couldn't even look at her. To which Karen replies "yeah, well he is a rookie cop" To which the woman says "So it takes a woman who...............................to even look at me" As hard as I listen I can't get what she is saying.

I can't understand what she saying either. Would someone want to check the closed captioning? I would do it myself, but I don't have my videos here (school).

I don't have closed captioning, but I just listened to it about five times. I think she says (very fast), "So it takes a woman cop now to even look at me." I think she said it because the rookie cop was a guy and was sick and Karen was a woman and was not bothered, outwardly anyway, by her appearance. Maybe she thought men would no longer find her attractive.
