It's a girl for "Blind Justice" actress Rena Sofer and her husband, TV director Sanford Bookstaver.
The 36-year-old actress gave birth to Avalon Leone Bookstaver Aug. 5 at a Los Angeles hospital, publicist Nancy Iannios said Friday.
Sofer has an 8-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. It's the first child for Bookstaver, 31, who has directed episodes of "The O.C." and "One Tree Hill." The couple married in May 2003.
Sofer plays Ron Eldard's wife in "Blind Justice" and has also appeared in "Just Shoot Me!" and NBC's short-lived version of the British series "Coupling."

From the Associated Press: Sofer plays Ron Eldard's wife in "Blind Justice" and has also appeared in "Just Shoot Me!" and NBC's short-lived version of the British series "Coupling." this article definitely needs rewording: since "plays r/e's wife " is out dated: my take on the wording would be something like: played the self centered wife of ron eldard who needs her hormonal meds increased, on the much grieved over tv show B/J, who's cancellation has caused an uproar across the entire continent of north america ( verorl : are you central america?) and forced thousands upon thousands of fans to resort to cheap forums to keep what is left of our sanity. staying up till all hours on chat rooms, instead of shampooing carpets, and doing laundry, and washing windows, and ,,,,,,,  |

Heh...do you realise, Dogma, that on *other* forums, such honesty would get you severely chastised, if not banned entirely. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

Congrats to Rena! I was beginning to really like Christie after cringing just about every time she was on! Thank heavens for forums such as these so we can all get our BJ fix each day. And they are such a good excuse to re-watch all those fantastic episodes  |
