Jim ++ for apologizing to Christie at the end of Marlon's Brando for barking at her the night before. Something I bet he didn't do much in the past. Christie ++ for realizing that he was really bother by the case and reassuring him that she felt safe with him Tom -- for not calling Marty on his Helen Kellar comment

Jim ++ for going with Christie to Clay's party even though you didn't want to Christie -- for getting mad at him for protecting you--maybe he shouldn't have done it quite that way, but he was looking out for you at the party Dr. Galloway ++ for telling Jim that it's ok not to be a supercop

Jim ++ for always knowing what questions to ask of Karen--mostly--to give himself a good picture of what a person or scene looked like so he could think a case through in his mind Karen ++ for learning quickly to supply this detail without being asked Tom -- for being so gullible about spiders, Jim not knowing he was black etc.

I haven't played in quite awhile, but just watched Seoul Man - can you tell?
I wish I could bring Marty back to smite him for "Yep, blind as a bat". I have smited him for this in the past, but he deserved it and would deserve it again if he weren't already gone.
Dr. Galloway++ for the admiration he obviously feels for Jim as Jim is leaving his office.
Detective Tom Selway++for "I'm not too proud that I can't learn from the guy".
Detective Jim Dunbar++For that smile when Galloway tells him he is fit for duty. Reminds me one that I saw on Ron's face on March 12 outside the Walter Kerr Detective Jim Dunbar - 179 Detective Karen Bettancourt - 105 Christie Dunbar- 59 Dr. Allan Galloway - 33 Detective Tom Selway - 32 Walter Clark - 23 Artie Steckle-21 Chief Tunney-17 Lt. Jim ++ for not complaining at all when he hit his shin on the desk that Marty so nicely moved to pick up his quarter. It must have hurt to bleed through his pants like that. Christie ++ for realizing that Jim wasn't really enjoying that first dance class a whole lot Dr. Galloway ++ for not ever forcing Jim to talk about anything he wasn't ready for

Detective Karen Bettancourt + + (For intuitively knowing that Nancy Dressler would open up to Jim, and for being comfortable enough to ask that he "play up the blindness.") Detective Jim Dunbar + + (For putting aside any feelings of discomfort and doing as Karen requested: In the end, it's all about the case.) Dr. Alan Galloway + + (For asking the hard questions, thus finally allowing Jim to make "a start." Ooops! Haven't played in a while. Detective Tom Selway -- for doing such a bad job looking nonchalant when the boss was coming. Get it together, man! Detective Karen Bettancourt -- for seeming so embarrassed by Jim the first time they interviewed someone together. Lt. Gary Fisk ++ for being his own man and not participating in "Casual Friday" with all the others. Detective Jim Dunbar++for being the good guest and accepting the offer of a cookie from Mary Beth--taking something from GB's eagle eye, amazing no one noticed this before! Detective Karen Bettencourt++for that little shuffle (almost like dancing!) she and Jim had to do when Mary Beth went to shake her hand, totally unself-conscious, later followed by her tug on his coat to let him know they were seated. Detective Tom Selway--as your precinct's union rep, shouldn't you have been more proactive with Eric rather than just saying "say the word and we're out of here"(or words to that effect)

Chief Tunney++You didn't know you had your own little soap opera going on under your nose at the 8th but to your credit you let them handle it in-house. Lt. Gary Fisk--for being so impatient and irritated with Jim when he was only doing his job. Christie Dunbar++You might not be perfect, sometimes your sense of fashion eludes you, you can sometimes be self-centered and have been know to lose your temper on occasion but thankfully you were nothing like Mary Beth!

Detective Jim Dunbar ++ (For taking out, with one well-placed longneck, that ridiculous dress made of magenta ribbon.) (Help, longlashes -- can you do us a screencap of Miz Dunbar stalking back into the loft in her beer-stained frock? Karma, karma, karma!) Dr. Alan Galloway + + (For allowing himself that self-amused chuckle at Jim's, "Are you doing this?") Christie Dunbar - - (For, despite her rag trade connections, apparently ordering her party frocks from Tramps 'R Us.) I'm gonna hold you to that Karma and right back at ya for "ordering her party frock from Tramps R Us" For someone with connections in the fashion industry, I oft wondered what Mrs. Dunbar was thinking!

You've got it, O Screencap Goddess. Do you suppose the costume designer wanted her to look awful so Jimmy would always look good by comparison? It's a thought . . . !

+ Detective Jim Dunbar for finally getting out for that beer with Greg, reminiscing about the positive aspects of their time together and the little moment of recollection that gave us this: + Detective Karen Bettancourt because even though her reputation was on the line too, she took that leap of faith with her partner and stood firmly behind him. + Christie Dunbar for having some sense of taste - perhaps not in clothes - but if she had anything to do with the apartment, that girl can decorate!
