Since we're coming up on the one year anniversary of the premiere . . . why not?
Second verse, same as the first . . . but with a few twists. This time we’re starting with a list of eleven: the major "named" characters who appeared in more than one episode of Blind Justice (which means, I guess, that Dance Instructor Lady with Only One Record doesn't count?!). And human characters only, which means the tenderhearted among us won’t have to endure subtracting points from the loyal pup. I love the minor characters, too -- truly, they were memorable -- but I confess I missed playing the game without our favorite blond/blind dude. So I’m up for one more round -- for Auld Lang Syne -- if you are.
As before, all characters start with 15 points. You can then cast a (+ +) vote to add two points or a (- -) vote to subtract two points. Each player can cast his/her votes twice a day, and you can vote for three characters at a time. Again, no deducting multiple points from one person: You have to add or subtract points from three different characters. (When we're down to five characters, we'll change to single points.)
Here’s the twist: Every time you cast plus votes for Detective James Dunbar, you also have to cast plus votes for at least one other character. Maybe this will level the playing field a bit, maybe not. We’ll see. No constraints where your minus votes are concerned -- subtract as your heart desires.
So here’s one more chance to praise Karen for pushing for the Lyman interrogation, to slam Marty for rearranging the furniture, or just weigh in on Christie's status as a fashion icon. Here's one more chance to finish off Terry Jansen or the Chief of Ds if you had the perfect demise devised, and someone beat you to it. Creativity, as always, is encouraged, as are screencaps or specific lines of dialogue to illustrate a point. Major karma awaits anyone who can come up with a reason that’s never been used before . . . or for anyone who wants to scroll through the fifty-plus pages of the original game to double-check!
As always, please post the new standings when you play, with corrected math and in descending point order. When a character’s points drop to 0, do your worst.
Also, if I missed a character that appeared in more than one episode, please add them to the list before the game gets too far along.
Serial killers -- and you know who you are -- start your engines . . . .
